Know this is to be expected and not the first time, but has anyone any concerns about the rumours floating about? I for one always find it a bit of joke when the press say 'winning the race' when the race has not even started and no bids made (we know of)....

If, and it's a BIG IF he does move on do we have adequate cover or do we need to bring in a replacement? The lad is a big cog in our wheel and feel we need to keep at any cost.

I'd like to think we can hold onto him at least until the summer. It could be that if we can win promotion he'd be happy to stay longer and play more games (rather than sit on the bench with a bigger club) in which case his value would probably rise further.
However given our financial situation Town may prefer to "cash in" early just in case his development stalls and his value decreases.
£10m is a lot of money for an 18yr old home grown talent, although if I were MM I'd be hoping and praying the lad stays where he is.

He's probably not ready for the premiership yet so I say give him a season long loan to a championship club after we are promoted and buy Williams

Why sit on the bench at a prem team when he can play regular for us. Connor Wickham left and his career has stalled a bit.

If the lad is as good as Bluemike says he's witnessed, just make him a regular part of the team. Who gives a fk how old he is....... If he's "got it", use him regularly.

This is simply lazy journalism, intended to fill some column inches - yawn!
Unless one of Mick's 'bonkers offers' was to come in, then young Teddy will be staying put - at least for the immediate future. Should the worst happen, then any deal should be based on retaining him on loan for the rest of the season. Similar situation for Mings.
Look forward to seeing tomorrow's news involving one if our boys. (I suppose the fact that these stories regularly emerge reflect well upon the club).
Holding on to the 'best manager in the Championship' has, thankfully, generated no press interest! (Dare I say, "yet")

He is every bit as good Marko, and the rumours are not rumours, he is being tracked by the big boys. I dont see him going anywhere soon though and hopefully he will see sense and do his learning here, a move to early would ruin him or potentially so anyway. If we go up we hold all the aces again and would get silly money for this lad in a couple of years. He is going to be woth a lot more than Mings in my humble opinion.
