No surprise there I guess, just surprised he's gone before Pearson at Leicester.

Surprised that it didn't happen sooner. Comparatively little time for the new manager to save them. Tim Sherwood, who has walked away from QPR, is a name that will no doubt emerge.

AV fans have been vociferous in wanting him out. Whereas understand that Leicester faithful are still behind Pearson?

Been on the back burner for months and months and no win in 10 games writing was on the wall.

Not those in Leicestershire who I come into contact with, although to be fair those who travelled to The Emirates last night seemed quite happy with their teams performance.

A New manger at Villa could recall Bent back from his loan at Derby, well I hope so any way.

I wish that were true too AB. But Derby have said there is no recal clause on Bent.

Just confirms Lamberts stupidity.

I was at the Aston Villa ground maybe five, six, weeks ago and should have dropped by my resume. Couldn't do a worse job that what Lambert has put together. My only concern is that Everton may go for him as Martinez works on borrowed time.

Pity is Lambert was once a successful figure - even if it was for Norwich - and hasn't been able to duplicate that success at any subsequent appointments. A candidate for a one hit wonder if ever there was one.

He probably can't manage bigger "stars", bigger "egos" etc......., and he's decent at utter Shyte like Norwich & Colchester.
