Bart has shaved his beard off.

As a fellow Spartan, I'm shocked and devastated by this news.

Charnwood, true story......, about a year ago, had a beard and was standing outside a Next store waiting on the wife. Had a costa a cup of finished hot chocolate in my hand, lid off....., this elderly woman walked past and dropped 50 pence into it. I must've looked like a scruffy, homeless b*stard.

Disclaimer....., I know all homeless are not scruffy,......, but they are total bastards with their top of the range Nike shoes.

Anr true story Marko;

One of my closest pals who I play golf with every week is an ex Prem professional footballer who now sports one of these full beards, his unfortunately is very grey. His party piece in bars is to ask barmaids to guess his age ( he's a good looking b*stard) but they always guess older than his 41 years. He then gets them to guess others in our group usually focusing on me cos I'm by a long way the oldest at 64 years. This week our age difference by barmaids guesses was circa 6yrs compared with the real difference of 23 yrs. He was guessed at 48/49, I was guessed at 54/55. If he shaved off his beard I'm sure he would look in his late thirties.

Come on boys, get those fkn beards shaved off, Ffs who wants to look old! :roll:

Have to say I am currently sporting a 'winter growth'. Not sure about these big bushy jobs though.

Never used to do it, but now the ginger bits come out grey it works a lot better, plus I still have the same amount of hair on my head as I had 20 years ago just distributed over a larger area!

However, it will go when the clocks change and spring is in the air!

Have to agree - if I was a manager I'd make all my players shave off their beards - all that hair must make them extremely un-aerodynamic, maybe that's why Skuse is so slow

There are some where it doesn't matter, with or without....... ie, Roy Keane.

I remember when Keane was here with that awful beard, he resembled a degenerate bum. Prefer being clean shaven from a personal viewpoint.

I've had a well-trimmed (usually) beard ever since I left the military over 15 years ago. I could never shave it off now. It's funny, I think our cats think I'm a big cat with the beard! I agree there are some men who shouldn't sport a beard, just as there are some men who shouldn't manage a football team. Keane falls in both categories.

I cant wear a beard because of my job, which is probably good because I cant grow a proper one anyway
