Spitting Images

Post by Domhide » Thu Mar 05, 2015 3:25 pm

I have posted on this topic before: This time I cannot understand what the fuss is about! Players are spitting / grollying and clearing their nostrels all over the pitch all through the game. They could even include it in the stats: Player X covered 3000m during the course of the game and vented 5lt of phlegm. How is the rule on this? Does it read?

"Any player directing phlegm at another player will recieve a RED card, provided at least 10ml actually lands on the target player. In the event that the Phlegm misses the target Player then the Spitter will not be punished; unless in the course of its travel the phlegm is carried by the wind to land on an unintended target when the penaltly will be only a Yellow Card. Spitting at the officials / opposing bench or the crowd will be permitted"

Serioulsy, If they wish to Ban Spitting on the pitch then BAN IT altogether.

The sooner they ban all these the better. It's foul, disgusting and unnecessary.

BT Sport made such a massive issue of this last night which has been carried over to today's media, that I can't see how the FA can possible ignore what happened.

Big bans on the horizon for both players I think.
