I think we could make 6th/5th. After the Bournemouth game we have 3 games i think we could get 9 points from. Those being Huddersfield,Blackpool and Cardiff. I would love for us to make the Playoffs.

Voted instinctively for a play-off place. Maybe one or two got a little carried away with the late win at Watford and are eyeing up some end of season prize I don't think will occur.

Our record in the aforementioned play-off lottery is poor to say the least, but so long as we're involved, that's the most important thing.

But first things first, we must ensure we finish in one of those four places to qualify. I don't think Bournemouth will give up the top two and either Middlesbrough or (sorry) Norwich to grab the other place. At least that way we'll avoid the latter in the play-offs if nothing else.

I voted play-offs.

I think any kind of ITFC V NCFC in the play offs would be a disaster, semis or final. I think East Anglia is at a time in history where Norwich are just better, (of course that will change) ...... But at the moment, they are better. YES, anything can happen over two legs or a final..... But I feel it'd be a memorable pumping, like the 2012 Scottish Cup Final. Avoid.

I hope OHIO is the most correct.

I have voted for the play off's but for me the Bournemouth is a pivotal game in our season, win that and I would say we have EVERY chance of the top two again because as Lucy rightly says the Three games coming up after that at Huddersfield and home to Cardiff & Blackpool are all very winnable, in fact should we take 10 points from the next Four games the top two becomes very realistic, even Nine points would have us in a good place as a lot of the top sides are meeting each other and points will be dropped.

The good thing about it is that it is very much back in our own hands again and we suddenly have a bit of momentum again and after saturday confidence and belief must be sky high, every man and his dog is saying Bournemouth are nailed on for the top Two now but if we beat them we are just Three points behind them so anything is possible but realistically I see us as finishing 5th or 6th. Look at the Watford fans forums and several comments on there suggesting they would not want us in the play offs is most heartening.

Ashamed as I am, I voted we will miss out. I am always pessimistic and see no reason to change my view. We are just a fraction short of having enough in my humble....

However, PLEASE prove me wrong town. Its been a long 14 years since the premiership and even longer since I stood in the North stand and watched us bat AZ 67 3-0

Still to this day they can't keep a mention of the 1985 League Cup to themselves and a win in the semi-finals. Who gives a f*ck, it was back in Dinosaurs and we have a league championship, FA Cup and European win to our name - find me that on their honors list if you can.

Ok we have to entertain the thought that we could feasibly encounter them in the play-offs this year but as with any derby game when two neighbors face-off, we will have just as much a chance to win as themselves. Obviously would hope to avoid such a scenario given the chloice. Just content to play out the remainder of the games left and see where we find ourselves by end of season to really think ahead to possible opposition - should we make it.

And trust me , ITFC would have to win because you genuinely would NEVER hear the end of it.

One of my best mates is a Jambofkr......., even now when we meet he'll say, "Aw right, Marko, how's things?" ....., we shake hands, then he does the "5-1" gesture with his hands. Tit.

But, roles reversed, I'd be doing the same...... So just make sure and win a potential cup final v your derby rival.

Either way would suit of course, but whichever happens I would love a Premiership derby.

i'm somewhat risk averse and although the euphoria of beating them in the play-offs would be awesome, i'd rather not take the risk.
i did the league calculator on twtd and had us 7th behind brentford but i actually think we'll make the play-offs and narwidge will get 2nd behind bournemouth.

Just tell your friend to find a League Championship (not the third division title), FA Cup and European trophy on their distinguished honors list.

Enough to win any argument so far as they're concerned

Would love to say yes , and my heart says yes. But if i am honest i think that Wolves will take the spot as our form is just not good enough at present however on saying that it is so close just one game can make all the difference -so very much still to play for - to hard to call at present.

Before the Watford game I had us finishing 7th or even 8th, but that result must have given the team a massive boost, and by taking each of the remaing games as a "one offs" there's no reason why we shouldn't be able to repeat that level of commitment & performance, and if we do there's no reason on earth why we shouldn't believe we can make the play offs.

I'm not overly confident but it's definitely still possible and I still fancy our chances.

Not to sound too obvious, but (as Larry referred to) they really do need to match Wolves' form to be in with a chance of sustaining that 6th spot.

BUT, subconsciously forget about everyone else and win all the "one offs" (as Charnwood refers to) then bingo......., it's definite play offs, maybe even top two territory again.

I personally think they'll bomb a brick and finish 9th.

Where's the choice for haven't got a fecking clue?

One week think no chance, then we go and take 6 points from 2 games and all of a sudden it's back on again. Still feel knowing us we will take it to the last game at Blackburn, travel all the way up there for a 12:15 kickoff and then somehow we will find a way to feck it up.

Regarding the last game @ Blackburn; When you say, "find a way to fk it up"...... Do you mean RK offloading Rhodes all those years ago?

I really doubt it, Mike.
The international break will allow their injured players to recover, and I expect them to come out all guns blazing.

Post by Jamma123 » Thu Mar 26, 2015 4:26 pm

As Charnwood says, if we can take the same level of commitment and performance as we showed against Watford into the remainder of our games, we have as good a chance as anybody of not only making the play-offs but winning them.

I have a funny feeling that we will be meeting our feathered friends again before the season is out, and there would be no better way of going up! While on the subject, can anyone remember the last time there was a local derby in the Championship play-offs? Would it be Mick's Wolves losing out to West Brom back in 2006/07?

Mmm, if you can count that as a 'local' derby!
