I see that Fulham might approach Mick to be their next manager if he doesn't take us up this season, £30'000 wages a week ain't nothing to be sniffed at, plus a war chest of money to spend on players, and the fact Mick Lives in Bromley Kent, about 25 minuets away from Fulham, will be very interested in this outcome, come on Mick promotion please.

I'm just off the phone telling them I'll do it for 3 grand a week.
Edit: I actually thought that ^ was funny, until my mate said, "What, taking a cut in wages to manage Fulham?"

Cant see how they can approach him. He's under contract to ITFC. Evans won't allow it to happen without substantial compsnsation. More crucially i cant see Mick jumping ship. He's hever done it in all his years of being a manager. Fulham are hardly a step up. He has unfinished business here at Town.

If it's true I think he might find it a quite attractive proposition, and if he doesn't his wife might, and as the saying goes..... Happy Wife, Happy Life.

Well if his wife wants to manage Fulham then so be it!

And where did you get this from. Just appears little more than some unsubstantiated rumor if the above is to be 'believed'.
Alright say if Fulham
were looking to bring McCarthy in, last I looked they were dangerously close to a relegation place in the league and there's every chance they
could be playing third division next season. Not the most attractive deal on the table, especially for someone who has worked hard to bring
his current team on the verge of a top six finish.
Fayed is the owner I understand and don't know how
much cash he has at his disposal to award his managers, in order to strengthen the team, but this whole thing has an odor about it.

So the Sun are behind this rumor then ? One of the UK's most reliable news publications..

I can't really see why people will think this could be BS. It's perfectly plausible to me.

I think it's total bullshit to be honest and the story really has no foundation, just a crap, tacky paper that has plucked a name out of the hat to create a story.
MM recently signed a new 3 year deal and while that counts for little with most people in football MM is one of a rare breed who has never quit a job for pastures new and won't be doing so here either.

Obviously Mike you don't follow Striker in the Sun,

I just picked up the info from both TWTD and the Sun, give us something to talk about during the International break, now as it read £30'000 a week wages, plus a good amount of funds for bringing in more players of his choice, and he lives only a stone throw away from Fulham, and if we don't get promoted its quite possible he could make the move, not saying he will, but the choice is there, we are in such debt we will always struggle in the championship, unless we get to the Premier League to start to wipe those debts off.

I think you will find that Fayed sold the club in 2013 and one of the first things the new owner did was remove that bloody awful statue of Michael Jackson.

Your dead right there BB, what in the Hell made them stick that bloody awful statue of MJ there, mind you with scrap value of around £300 per hundred weight for Bronze, or did they flog him to some MJ fan in the USA???, the new owner of Fulham Shahid Khan a multi Billionaire from USA, he can afford to spend a fair wedge in getting them back into the Premiership, so I will expect to see them make a change in the current managers position at the end of this season, and bring in a more experienced manager to make big changes over the summer player wise, hence Mick's connection

I heard the nose fell off when they moved it, but it didn't affect the scrap value as it was only plastic!!
Seriously though, I wouldn't be at all surprised if there was something in this rumour. Stranger things have happened in football and if we do not get promoted I can see it as a large carrot hanging in front of MM's even larger conk.

He may have signed a 3 year contract back in the summer, but in all honesty, (and no disrespect) if the club do not achieve promotion this season, (after the type of season it's been) it'll definitely make McCarthy ponder his future.
It's not good though......., because stories like this will be putting unnecessary pressure on the club as a whole.

I think he is sensible enough to take it all in his stride and totally ignore the nonsense, as are the players thankfully.

If he didn't leave for Ireland, Palace or whoever the hell apparently wanted him, then he's not going to Fulham. He's already spent 2 and a half years sorting out a mess, why bother starting all over again?

Seriously guys, in the nicest possible way....., let's cut the f**king bollocks eh. There is not one single manager in the football league who has any "genuine" loyalty. I do not know what MM's salary is at the moment......, I'm going to guess it's no where near 30K a week. Money talks. If the offer arises, it'll be "Ta ta Mick", nailed on guaranteed.

The thing is this has started in a p*ss poor paper, show me something of substance that slightly connects it to Fulham and maybe it would be worth wasting time on, but the thing is you won't be able to because it is nothing more than idle gossip. Come on guys, get a grip, I realise we need something to worry about because we have won the last two but please do better than this nonsense.

There ain't no worries on my part......., I'm merely talking from a "cash" point of view, whether the article is wind & pish or not.
What I'm saying is, IF something like that WERE to happen, no ITFC fan would ever see Mick McCarthy again, except when he's in the dugout @ Craven Cottage.
