2 sky games on Saturday....
2 championship games on sky on sat, I'm sure top v bottom clashes wolves and Brentford are more appealing than ours, but does anyone happen to know either way?

Apparently Sky to confirm tomorrow which two matches it will cover on Sat, following tonight's Rotherham v Reading game.ollie3686 wrote:2 championship games on sky on sat, I'm sure top v bottom clashes wolves and Brentford are more appealing than ours, but does anyone happen to know either way?

That's what I thought, but both Brentford and wolves are fighting for playoffs, and both their opponents are fighting relegation - hence I thought 2 birds 1 stonelucy wrote:Our game surely because it's the fight for Playoffs?.

Not after tonight they won't be. Millwall and Wigan both relegated.ollie3686 wrote:That's what I thought, but both Brentford and wolves are fighting for playoffs, and both their opponents are fighting relegation - hence I thought 2 birds 1 stonelucy wrote:Our game surely because it's the fight for Playoffs?.

They won't feature either Bournemouth or Watford as they've both accomplished their objectives for this season. The relegation places are now known also.
Derby play Reading home and Brentford face off against a relegated Wigan also at home. Wolverhampton the other play-off contender is at home to the other relegated team Millwall.
I'd expect sky to feature Ipswich as all we need is a point and it will be a game of high tension at Blackburn but then recognize we don't always perform in front of a televised live audience.
While Millwall and Wigan have nothing to play for neither do Blackburn as win lose or draw against us they will finish in ninth position so they won't be giving 100 per cent in this.
In so many words, three teams chasing a promotion dream - versus three teams already on summer vacation.

Re: 2 sky games on Saturday....
I think they'll be focussing on who wins the league. Watford and Bournemouth games on Sky, with the Championship trophy in a helicopter above!

It makes no difference. We did okay against Bournemouth on Sky and Wolves too right? What about Watford.
Come on. There is no hoodoo.

Re: 2 sky games on Saturday....
Must admit I hate watching Town games on Sky.
It's great for those people who for whatever reason can't make the game but if possible I much prefer to be there. I know it sounds stupid but I always feel more relaxed being at the game. That is one of the reasons why I'm going to Ewood Park on Saturday.

What's the other game? Derby? Or Brentford.

Derby County are the other selected teamDubai Blue wrote:What's the other game? Derby? Or Brentford.
Taken from their webpage : Sky Sports will feature vital matches for Ipswich and Derby on the final day of the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday. With automatic promotion and relegation already decided, the fixtures will see the last two places in the play-offs come under the spotlight.
Fifth-placed Ipswich take on Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park knowing a point will be enough to see them secure a place in the top six. That game will be shown on Sky Sports 2 from midday.
Derby, a point adrift of Mick McCarthy's side in sixth, are at home to Reading and a win will see them extend their season further into May and their clash will be broadcast on Sky Sports 1, the programme starting at the same time.
The other two contenders for a play-off place do not have destiny in their own hands but could move into the top six if one or both of their rivals slip up.

Re: 2 sky games on Saturday....
I still recognize it as the second division although that went out with the introduction of the EPL in 1992. They've re-named it so many f**king times in the subsequent years i.e. Football League, Championship, First Division etc that it's hard to keep up sometimes

Thanks partner! Course, if it is on TV, the daughters will be coming down at about 8am. If they find their dad already half liquored up, is it a bad role model or understandable?herforder wrote:Fingers crossed that they make the right choice for you!Ohiotractorboy wrote:Still waiting to see if Ipswich are on beIN sports this Saturday. Re: 2 sky games on Saturday....
As Dubai says, there is no hoodoo, recently we have done ok in front of the cameras winning as many as we have lost so this will have no bearing on the result at all.
