THE ANNOUNCEMENT

Post by Earl Blue » Mon Jun 15, 2015 1:26 pm

Ok so the last few days have got one or two of you coming up with strange
ideas (nothing new there)..

Anyway I will make it short and sweet. I have decided iti s time to hang my boots up and
hand over the reigns of Tractor-Boys.com...

This will take effect from 0001 Hours tomorrow 16th June, 2015 and the reigns will
be be handed over to the new partnership of The Don & Frosty...

I am not going to give a speech but I do want to take this time to
thank all of those administrators, moderators and members who over the years
have made TB.Com what it is.

The decision to pass on was made easy once Rob & Dave confirmed their interest to continue
the forum as these are the only guys that I feel can take it forward.

I will be around in the admin team for some time to come, As will Dazza in a technical
capacity, but as of the above time Rob & Dave will be 'THE MANAGEMENT'. (Actually
come to think of it they do look a bit like Hale & Pace  )

Please take this opportunity with me in giving these guys your support, commitment
and the best of luck for the future of Tractor-Boys.com

Onwards and upwards

Earl Blue

Was not expecting this to be the news we had been waiting for.

Shame to see you step down like this Ted and it'll take some time to get used to seeing others in charge. Don and Frosty are fine members also and can't dispute the decision. Wish someone could persuade you to stay on but if you feel the time is right to hand over command then so be it. As Frosty said you've invested some considerable money and effort into this venture over the years so take this opportunity to offer thanks also.

I kinda thought thats what the announcement would be, seeing how rumblings like this surfaced several years ago. Well done over the years Earl, thanks for this forum to help all of us (especially foreign) fans to stay connected to the team. I think Frosty and Don are fine choices also.

You will still be around these parts wont you?

Many thanks for providing us with a great forum over the last few years earl, you have done a fine job in what are at times trying circumstances, you will be missed but in Frosty and Don it remains in good hands and will I am sure continue to be a great place to post all our thoughts on all things ITFC.

Good luck Dave & Rob and if you need any help in any way feel free to ask.

Mike.

Shocked with the news but you have certainly done your service over the years your Earlship. Like so many others i would like to take the chance to say a mega big THANK you for your efforts, time, patients, understanding and of course money that you have pumped into this fantastic site.
We fans a little distant from both Ipswich and England cant really express what TBs.com has given us over the years. I feel like im in touch with my team and fellow fans, the best in the land i might and.
Through thick ITFC.
To Frosty and Don congratulations and if there is anything you guys need my help with please ask.

All the best Eddie

First things first, I'd like to extend my gratitude and best wishes to Eddie. When I first joined this forum six or so years ago, I honestly expected it to be a passing phase. It wasn't, I was drawn in and that is a credit to Eddie.

There's no denying that what he has put into this place over the years, be it time, effort, passion or money, has been truly outstanding. Especially with the time constraints put on him through work.

Eddie, I think I speak on behalf of everyone when I say thank you.

Now, moving forwards and it's down to Dave and I to try and continue and improve the forum. No mean feat at all.

Whilst we will obviously be in discussion with each other regarding how we wish to approach this, be it our admin team, forum layout or just general housekeeping, I want to say thank you to you lot. Without such a passionate and devoted membership I think Dave and I wouldn't have seen any desire to fund this place and today could have possibly been the last time Tractor-Boys.com was online.

Knowing that it matters to people sold it to us. Hopefully once we get our feet under the table, we'll be able to sell it to others.

Onwards and upwards is the saying right? Let's bloody well hope so.

Rob

Holy f*ck....... Wasn't far wrong with my first complete guess. Jaysus H. That's scary.

All the very best to you Earl, and thanks for one of the best forums on the net. It's been awesome.

So what's for the future? A bouncer and an Audi driver in charge?! Holy sh*t!

Well done guys, Make it even more awesome

Words escape me at this time Earl!

All I can really say is thanks for what you have done for this forum, and that never seems to be enough.

Don and Frosty good luck, you have very big boots to fill.

I hope your not going to disappear on us Earl and continue to post.

With a heavy heart I must thank you for all your time and money you've put in to the forum, which to me is the best Town forum.

many thanks for everything

i am one those 'older folk' who have very little idea about how a forum works behind the scenes.
i gather it costs time, money and not a little heartache!
i therefore appreciate your commitment over the years and as a fellow mid-suffolk boy to another, a big thankyou!

the king is dead - long live the kings :D

All the very best Earl. Youve done TBs proud and although you will be missed its understandable that you are giving up the reins, due to work /travel commitments. Time for " the boys" to take over.

Happy " Retirement" Earl and thank you for your work, financial and time commitments to the forum, without which none if us would be here.

Thanks Earl for Tractor-Boys.com! It is indeed a great forum for us overseas fans. I still prefer TB over any other ITFC site! I'm sure Don & Frosty will do a fine job.

I know we've never met and I've always looked upon you as the mystery owner ( a bit like Marcus Evans) who oversees a job "well done".

Thanks Eddie, I think this is a great forum which I've thoroughly enjoyed contributing to, let's collectively support the new guys and hope that by working together they can take the forum forward.

All the best to Dave & Don.

Some here say they're surprised.
I myself just knew you were going to retire, maybe I know you more than I realised, since when we first met when I was Grandaddy back around 10 years ago.
Best wishes for the future fella!
