Seems scandlous how they're moving into a state of the art stadium for practically free, and the proximity to Ipswich, it MUST have an impact on our attendances. Any way some good points ny a twtd poster below. ..and a link.

Absolutely. Ive no idea what they will do with tickets, but purely as an example-
Adult + Child return ticket from Colchester to Stratford arriving at 1.45 next Saturday afternoon, takes 42 minutes and costs £32. If West Ham were to offer a Parent + Child combo of £25, to get the stadium full, then thats £57 to watch a Premier League game, even against the worst team in the league (Norwich).
Adult + Child return ticket from Colchester to Ipswich arriving at 1.45 next saturday afternoon, takes 20 minutes and costs £12. If its a Cat A game, its going to cost £42 for both tickets. So thats a total spend of £54 to watch a Championship match against one of the most popular teams (Leeds are always category A).
42 minutes and £57 to watch West Ham v Norwich in the Premier League, in a 40k crowd or 20 minutes and £54 to watch Ipswich v QPR in the Championship, in a 25k crowd.
For the floating fan, it could be tough. Although £57 is still a fortune anyway.
