Eire squad
http://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/28116/ Good or bad? I never quite know, what with the risk of injury. If they make the 22 of course.

Re: Eire squad
The Republic of Ireland have a good opportunity now of reaching the next European Championships and will want all players available that can do a job. McGoldrick and Murphy have both overcome injuries, and will be useful additions at O'Neills disposal.
Wish them both well, hope the Irish get the results needed to obtain a qualification, and both players will be back for domestics as before.

Re: Eire squad
As before not a fan of the international scene but got news of the result today in Dublin.
This could well be the biggest and most recognized victory for the national team since the win over Italy in '94 and there is a real opportunity here to be at the championships next summer. (Even a play-off place is guaranteed ?)
All looked lost a few weeks back but they've turned it around and are on the verge of another fine achievement. O Neill was the right choice from the start and if they make it next year, could cause some more upsets (as was regular with Charlton)
Murphy was involved today - played two thirds of the game, but was substituted only for his replacement (Shane Long) to score the winning goal moments after come on. McGoldrick was on the bench but was not included at any stage.
