Last season we had 14pts and sat 7th. We have the same points this season, lets see where we are at 5 o'clock.

At a guess I suspect we will still have 14pts. League position at this point in the season is irrelevant. As the great man himself would say it's where we are in May that counts.

Good to see we are on track compared to last season. Which I presume was your point?

Last season we went on to win only One of the next six, drawing Four and losing once so we have every chance of improving on that I would think.

Bristol City (H)
Blackburn (A)
Huddersfield (H)
Hull (A)
Forest (A)
Cardiff (H)

I can see 3/4 wins there which would be decent.

Hmm sat night is upon us.
Town sit pretty in 5th place on 14pts. Things looking UP it seems. Hope we're all very happy. I am!

As mentioned it's all very well making comparisons to a similar stage twelve months back but it's where you find yourselves at the very end that's all important

There is what seems the very rare instance of Town playing at 3pm on a Saturday in the next fixture which is Bristol at Home, so would ideally be looking for three points here and hope not to be disappointed. Sort that defense out and the attacking department will at least take care of itself. Looking at the opposition provided in a previous post there is nothing to really frighten in the games and weeks ahead.

In fact the capabilities are there to register six wins out of six which will bring eighteen points for the cause but as before, it's at the back where the concerns are most evident.

I think we will a totally different Town once we get Bru and Bishop back in that midfield.

Yes i think we are all a little bit happier now than after the reading game. 8 games in and 6 points off top, nice start. Get Bru or posdibly bishop in with skuse and see where we go from there. I do have a feeling that mm will stick with douglas, he tends not to like changes unless forced, then tends to stay with them. Take gerkin for instance, no chance when bart was in goal, now seems reluctant to put bart back in.

Putting my neck out here but i think the defence are looking ok. I admit i have been one of Smiths BIG doubters but he is playing well at the moment as is Berra, hes starting to find his form i think. Knudsun has looked a different player in the last two matches and we all know Chambers is playing out of position and i think teams target him a little. For ages people have been crying out for a playmaker on midfield on the wing, well now we have 2 pushing forward every week, the back 4 are going to be put under much pressure this season and we will conceed goals. Its up to the front men to put away the chances. 19 shots against birmingham, only 3 on target, one of those was a penalty.
