Thanks for posting......, quite informative.

Regarding the championship being a tough league....., with one eye on the EPL; if a couple of teams like Newcastle and Aston Villa tumble, ITFC will find it that little bit tougher next season. Watched Villa the other week. Feckin Hibs would've beat them. They were Pish.

But Mick certainly does have a way with words and he makes me feel quietly confident that he will turn things around sooner rather than later.

I was at the AGM this evening.
there was generally a good atmosphere and only a few grumbles.
MM certainly has a charisma and presence about him, funny but takes no nonsense.
I got the impression that his heart is definitely in the club and he's down like we all are at our lack of form just now.
the overal impression I got was that mick has turned the whole club around and we can be grateful for that. We may not play 'the Ipswich way' very often but the feeling of the club is back - having clearly been lost by Keane and then Jewell. MM is above all honest and straight-talking and has values that most of us would consider fitting for ITFC.

Thanks for that Mr Punch. Nice to get it from the horses mouth, so to speak. I just hope we get a little run going now cos we are already 7 pts off 6th slot now and as usual our GP ain't all that!

Did you get the impression he might be looking to bring someone in in January?

He knocked down a question about would he get people in January, he said he has a good squad and they will come good. Also that they are constantly looking at players and would add if the right ones come along.

marko ive said many times that the Championship is better ( far more even and unpredictable ) than the overhyped PL . I feel the Championship is becoming more like the old First Division used to be before sky cooked everything up with their money.

Which I believe tbh. But he'd be a mug not to praise his current players. And he's probably genuine in his praise for his players.

I imagine the players would run through walls for him and I really hope we get the luck we need to turn it round on Saturday.
I like MM, He hasn't got us promotion yet but I'd rather have him than that little bloke at Carrot Road who seems a nasty bit of work :!:

Would you ever think Burley could do a job with this squad.....a nd play the style of football we used to see regularly under SBR and later Burley's similar pass and move style?

That's ^^^ actually a very good question, Hallam, ...... Any chance of a regular visitor to PR answering that one?

Under Joe or George yes, but Mick not a cat in hells chance, he only knows one way to play, Hoof, and if we have to put up with that type of play all the time, God help us, I hear and see other town supporters who are P****D off with this style, it certainly wont win us accolades or titles

I agree with you Ashford. Burley or Joe Royle would in all probability get more out of this squad although I think even they would struggle with the lack of creativity in midfield. We certainly wouldn't see the now familiar hoof that we read so much about though, neither the MM 'happy not to lose attitude' which I think is awful. Perhaps it's a front, but he should be seething that we did not win against Cardiff.
