Posh 7 ITFC 1 was televised? Ouch.

Remember the day, I was in St Andrews, ......, didn't realise it was televised.

But the stats do say that we have avoided defeat more than we have lost, it's all a myth in truht although the recent form on TV is not great.

Been there, buddy. The "Gazza" Rangers gubbing the Hibs 7-0 @ Ibrox. Me and the buddies actually had enough of the Shyte at 4-0, but by the time we got back to the supporters bus, it was 7-0!

The balance is about right, there's nothing overly alarming or to warrant significant concern.

Handful of games straight away that you can recognize. Draw with Spurs in 1992 when Cundy I think scored a much talked about goal right through to later years and the say play-off games with West Ham. People are right when they say all this recent live broadcast misfortune is a curse of sorts, the team simply hasn't performed as well as it should on the days in question.

I will not forget that game either, was first day on hols with family. Said to the wife, i dont care what we do all week ,i just want to find a pub to watch the match on saturday. We arrived after a 5 hour journey , unpacked, put on my town top and went on a hunt for a pub showing the match, not easy when you have a hound in tow so it had to be dog friendly. Eventually found this "local" in portsmouth around 1 and settled in with the "locals" who did the usual look of " your not from round these parts" without actually saying. None the less after two pints i was part of the furniture and chatting like i owned my own bar stool there like the best of em. Watched the pre match entertainment of liverpool and arsenal i think it was. Pkayed a few games of pool while my dog sniffed out some old blokes shopping bag full of freah meat and sasuages from local butchers, a little embarrasing. Que the game. Obviously very please when we went 1-0 up and stood proudly in my itfc shirt after getting "banter" from the locals all afternoon prior to kickoff. The the half hour mark came and we shipped in 4 goals in the last 15 mins of first half, and the "banter" started again!! Needless to say the first day of my hols went tits up with the final result of 7-1 and two sendings off. However the locals did take pity and made amends for the relentless pi$$ taking and bought me a few pints at the end. Thankfully the wife turned up to collect me at 8 and rescue the poor dog who was being adopted by evert pissed dog lover in the pub, except the old guy who sausage he licked earlier!!

This is embarrassing but will be honest and admit can't even remember the seven goal loss at Peterborough. Most likely would have been with either Roy Keane or Jewell (sorry to leave Magilton out if indeed it was under his tenure)

There was a similar score at Reading earlier this season and while not so damaging as before, we've at least made good progress (with McCarthy) since those dark days with the (other) aforementioned names.
