Your visit to Cardiff.

Another year gone by since your last visit and a lot has happened at Cardiff during this year. Russel Slade has been under a lot of pressure down here but he appears to have now won over a large majority of fans. We were hit with a transfer embargo in mid season but we managed to get a couple of good players in on loan by putting a number out on loan. Kenwyn Jones our highest paid player left the club to play abroad and rumour has it that there are a few smiles in the dressing room. A rare visit from our owner saw players given a pep talk and Tan converting half our debt into equity and a promise that our debt will be dealt with in the same way next year. A smack in the face for many fans who thought his aim was to run us into the ground after much opposition to his ownership. Anyway the pep talk seemed to work because the team began playing in a way we hadn't seen during the season resulting in us like yourselves challenging for a playoff place. We took a knock on Tuesday just when out her contenders were slipping up we lost to Leeds and it was hard to take because we hammered them on the pitch with some superb play. We had 20 shots on goal, 10 on target , hit the post twice and the bar once. But for one the best goal keeping displays by the Leeds keeper I have ever seen we would have had six or seven. But as it was they scored twice the first being deflected past Marshall by Fabio who later got sent off for two yellows and the second in added time when Cardiff who had been camped in their half for most of the game, were pressing for that all important left one defender back and Leeds managed to hoof the ball upfield where they had one man and he was quicker than our defender and took advantage. Such was the display by the Cardiff players and despite going 2-0 down they received a standing ovation at the end of the game but there again no points.
I am looking forward to tomorrow's game which will I think be too close to call but let's hope we see a good game and that the weather will be kind to us all .
May I wish all of you who are making the trip a very safe journey . Now if you are looking for a place other McDonalds, KFC etc there is a pub situated at the entrance to the Main Stadium Gates which is strictly controlled by security but serves excellent food.
All the best lads and enjoy your visit
