I loathe about Micks style of play, and what I dont want ITFC to be associated with. This is NOT the Ipswich style if football, and never has been. Its not attractive, its not entertaining and is actually not very effective.

I think it's funny when some people say, oh you'd rather play attractive football and lose. If you consistently play attractive football, you'll win more games in the long run. Then people say, well what about Arsenal? They're not bad, I say and their history proves it. No matter what style you play, it will inevitably come down to the players.

Not sure if you're alluding to recent seasons, but under George Graham they were the most boring team to win the league.
Obviously we wouldn't want Town to lose
any game but if it were for the greater good by actually
going out and trying and showing some positives and determination (as you said) the victories will invariably outnumber the losses.
One of the teams biggest problems this season has been a severe lack of flair and creativity. I'm not expecting world class soccer or similarities to Sir Robson's tenure, but seriously, our style of play has more often than not been tough to witness this season.

I find those comments a back-handed compliment to Town.... or Mick ( seeing as it's his style of play).
There's a lot of good things about the club... honest, decent professionals who turn up and put in shifts.
Style of play is dictated by manager, resources, situation.... but, being honest, would love to hear a glowing report of how we have players who can pose other teams problems through skill and a bit of class.
The player is expecting a battle.... because that's what we plan for every game whether it's a top club or a relegation threatened team. That's what frustrates me most.... just plan for an ugly game and hope to nick a win... whoever it is.
