Nothing controversial there Rossi but the yellow peril out of the top six, sorry mate just can't see it no matter how much I hope for it. Again Newcastle top, but the more I think of it they won't find it quite as easy as some people think. Really regret not putting Wolverhampton in my top ten or a dark horse like reading. Good luck anyway and enjoy the season.rossi wrote:Bloody hell - my opinions have changed a lot over the past 7 days.

Prediction League? I'm going to be out of the country quite often through the season, so not sure I'd have the time to do it properly.

I detect a little more optimism around the place, so maybe it would have been prudent to have waited a few days. Anyway the seasonal top ten prediction closes very soon, so guys girls those that have not tried yet, put your predictions down.

Halfway through the season, just a little reminder of my ridiculous predictions and most of you guys also. It would be good to see a great cup run but I don't think Mick can inspire the lads to do a job. I don't think he has totally lost the dressing room but we are only two defeats from the drop zone.
Come on Mick give us something to cheer.

The actual Top 10 at the moment:
1. Brighton
2. Newcastle
3. Reading
4. Huddersfield
5. Leeds
6. Sheff Wed
7. Derby
8. Barnsley
9. Norwich
10. Fulham
How many you got in the Top 10? How many you got in position?
My prediction:
1. NEWCASTLE UNITED
2. DERBY COUNTY
3. BLACKBURN ROVERS
4. ASTON VILLA
5. NORWICH CITY
6. BRIGHTON & HA
7. WOLVES
8. QPR
9. WIGAN ATHLETIC
10. FULHAM
I have 5/10 with Fulham in position @ half way point.
Openly admit, I'd have had both udders and Barnsley down near relegation. Coyles Blackburn have surprised me, although I do know they've been very unlucky in a handful of games.

You've also got Sheff Wed in position, Andy! That's great predicting. Didn't see them challenging at all this season.

Three club sides finished in exact position from prediction last summer, they being
#2 Brighton Hove Albion
#7 Leeds
#8 Norwich
Can live with that, may have been a concern if not one right prophecy, but in retrospect that was reasonable judgment.

Based on the 120 mins of play today I don't see either of these two dull teams being good enough to survive more than a single season playing with the big boys.
Odds on to come straight down I suspect.

Re: Next seaons top 10
Caught the score late but sincerely pleased that the Yorkshire team made it through against the opposition. Just envisaged Reading back in the EPL as something too ordinary, too mundane, so relief in a sense that someone less recognized made it this time around.
Huddersfield possess something of a unique honor if correct in that having won every league they have competed in, and while you'd have to go back some 90 years for a last top level victory, wish them well in their endeavors from August and beyond. Apparently the game today wasn't up to much and one of the lamest in recent years but bottom line they made it. Got to feel a level of sympathy for any team that plays 46 games over the course of nine months only to lose everything on the basis of one afternoon's play, but both sets of players were aware of what was at stake before start of play.
