Next seaons top 10
Hi boys and girls
The annual guess the top ten Again. Its just for fun and as we all know the championship too well ,we should be great at this. The League gets harder and harder every year, and some "big boys" coming Down and promising teams coming up, this season promises to be yet another rollercoaster of a season. I cant wait and though we dont seem to be splashing the Cash as others have it will be a chance maybe for some of the younger ones to stake a claim for a regular spot.
Big mick knows this League and the players, and whilst I think 7th last term was´nt too bad when you consider the Little we spent. The jury is still out as to if its the right way to go up but lets see.
Pop your guess Down and we will see what the season brings.

Re: Next seaons top 10
The new season is close when we see Phily Bon Bons Top 10 thread. Superb. Very much looking forward to the new season both for Hibs and Ipswich Town.
Here is my effort.
1. NEWCASTLE UNITED
2. DERBY COUNTY
3. BLACKBURN ROVERS
4. ASTON VILLA
5. NORWICH CITY
6. BRIGHTON & HA
7. WOLVES
8. QPR
9. WIGAN ATHLETIC
10. FULHAM
Unfortunately I'm seeing ITFC a bit lower than 10th but no where close to the relegation zone.

Re: Next seaons top 10
Yes, 3rd may be a few steps too high, but I'm really fancying Owen Coyle to do well with Rovers this coming campaign. Also think Stokesy will do well with them and in the English Championship; playing with better players and against better quality, he'll excel IMO......, he'll be on fire and everyone's defences will be terrified!
Also think Gary Caldwell will be well up for it at Wigan. Won't make play offs but top half I'm thinking.

Re: Next seaons top 10
Well thats no bad shouts from you Guys. I had 8out of 10 last season(none in the right place)but thats not bad going. I love the championship as its so competative and rearly does one team run away with it. I expect those coming Down will be in for a suprise, not so much naaaridge they are a yoyo Club so they know all about the championship.
I will stick my neck out and try to do them in what I think will be the correct order. As usual there is ALWAYS a suprise team doing much much better than expected, equally one team seems also to do far worse than expected.
We have´nt bought any big names nor were we really expecting to, but with Didzy, the Bish and a fully fit Hyam back its almost like the squad is coming together. I would love to see some of the younger guns staking a regular place ,but we have to be careful its a long hard physical season in the champoinship as we all know too well.
For me the top three could easily swap Places but I see only three teams in with a realistic shout at the top. I can see us being marginally worse off then last season ,but i pray Im wrong (as usual) and we go on a flyer who knows?
1, Newcastle = crazy Money buying some good prem League experienced players great manager
2, Brighton HA = good manager ,learned from last season good team
3, Aston Villa = crazy Money good Young squad good manager will attract good players through the season
4, Leeds United = buying a few players my suprise package
5, Naaaridge= silly Money most of the squad intact experienced team of yoyo twats
6, Derby county= if they can get their buying right they could push real hard
7, Sheffield wed= they will try to build on last term and a few good signings could go all the way
8, Wigan =played great football last season and won the League good Young manager and good average squad that Work as a team
9, Forrest=stam will attract names good team and buying already premier League fringe players
10, Ipswich town= great manager, good Young squad but on a shoestring will leave us trailing when it matters.
Thats my shout hope Im wrong about us leeds and the scum.

Re: Next seaons top 10
Nothing can be read into the Barnet game so win Loose or Draw its about fitness and returing to sharpness. I cant see any Club throwing huge monies around from now to the start of the season. Like us most will try to pick up a bargin or two with the loan system coming into play for most of us. Bristol have bought a few new faces mainly from the lower Leagues but I expect them to do largely as they did last season.
Maybe I had Villa a Little too high and Cardiff have slipped under my radar ,they will do well like us they have been there or thereabouts a long long time. Pick your guesses down you never know you may even get 10 out of 10.
Enjoy the forthcoming season everyone.

I like Bluepeters guess, I have a feeling a really horrible feeling that Leeds will do well. I hope they are nowhere near the top but they may just surprise this season..
