Season ticket sales

Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere.

I see the early bird prices have been reinstated weeks after they closed, which can only mean a large drop in sales.

Does anyone have any info on just how big the drop is? I've no idea how many season tickets were sold last year.

|I dont know officially but I believe we were around 7% down so 7 in every 100 not renewing isn't the mass exodus many predicited, a drop yes but this can soon pick up with a good start.

Put like that in those terms no 7% is not much , but it still equates to a reduction on money in, to just under 400K and that with the tickets in the NSL..So could be as much as 1/2 mil loss when spread around the ground.! and see,ing as we are skint that's quite a bit..and signings or lack off will not help the perception of same old season coming up! one bit.

So wioth a reduction in money in fans should stop keep expecting signings, you have said it yourself "we are skint" , do you spend much when you are "skint" ?

Been to 3, Hallam......, not won a single one! Jinx git! One of those games at PR, late 90's, ITFC were strong favourites, gubbed 2-0. We left the ground and the main topic amongst us was how absolute shyte Fabian Wilnis was! Obviously he went on to fair a bit better in later years. but he played a stinking howler that day.

Would love to make it down to Ipswich for a game, (more for the food/bevvy pre game! )...., the way the year is going work wise, can't see it happening this season. Also need to help roar the Cabbage back to the SPL. That's no gonnae be easy! :D

How much is a season ticket at Portman Road these days. Realize in the recent past we were one of the most expensive teams to watch in the league regards this and there was mention that it's more affordable to watch Manchester United for a season then it is here at Ipswich, but not aware of the full costs of today's prices.

Can't blame those not wishing to renew either. Last season's efforts were sub-standard for the most part and many are expecting little change from August so there's going to be a certain degree of hesitation and uncertainty. If the extortionate prices from before have indeed continued, people won't want to part from their money and be witness to another nine months of what last occurred.

SJ it is a load of cobblers about being more expensive than Man Utd, yes there are a handful of seats that cost well over a £1000 but it is just a few. My ticket this season is about £417 from memory which works out at around £18 a game which I am more than happy to pay as i don't think it is expensive in the grand scheme of things.

and let me tell you that the seats costing well over £1000 are no better than seats in the rest of the ground - you still sit jammed into a narrow seat and do not have a clear view of the whole of the pitch. I think D block is the worst actually - many people there seem to want to be in the bar until 5 minutes after kick-off, go back to the bar 10 minutes before half time, return to seats 10 minutes after the start of the second half, and they're always the ones who sit farthest from the aisles. Rant over haha

So, are you moving next season Rossi? Should imagine that with all that booze being consumed, the need for frequent comfort breaks can't help the situation. Mind you, the bar's probably been the best place to be on some occasions!

lol I wish.

but it's like I told you at the pub, I prefer to watch a game from the halfway line, and the view from the other side in Y and H blocks is pretty restricted

I'm with you there Rossi, the halfway line is always the best place to watch footie if you can afford it.

I got mine in the post this morning along with a pretty decent DVD. It's a behind the scenes look at the club.
