When you actually look back and read things like that you realise that pile of bile across the border shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as us.

When I was in France for Euro 2016 we were visiting a small village and I had my Town shirt on.
A elderly French chap came up to me and said "Ipswich Town, Bobby Robson".
I know some people say we go on to much about our past but my answer to that is at least we have something to go on about. I just consider myself lucky to have been around to see a lot of our great times.

Guessing the man in question had some association with St Etienne or saw the games with us in '81. The club made such an impact on European soccer that season, particularly that second game, we deserved pride of place on the back cover of La Monde
