TIMES UP?
Well I think it might be last chance saloon next Saturday. If Town get beaten at home by bottom club Rotherham (god forbid) MM will have to go I'm afraid, just to save the season. The squad we have(even with injuries) should not be 17th in the championship, that is purely down to negative football and negative tactics.MM I thank you for saving us 4 years ago and for the playoffs 2 years ago, but that's it I'm afraid, your time is up. You can take us know further forward, everybody in this league knows, how we will set up for a game, we need fresh ideas and maybe a younger forward thinking attacking Manager. Who ? I hear you cry, well here's 4.
Aberdeen Manager: Derek Mcinnes
Hearts Manager: Robbie Neilson
Scunthorpe Manager Graham Alexander
Doncaster Manager: Darren Ferguson. He would be my choice on style of play a lone.

Re: TIMES UP?
I honestly don't think it will be even if we lose derick (which I don't for one second think we will) I just don't see ME getting rid of MM at all, certainly not in the short term. A win next week, and we should bloody win and again we will probably be within Four points of the top six, ME will be happy with that even if the football at times is err.......

Re: TIMES UP?
A massive NO to both Scottish names mentioned there. ^^^
McInnes started his tenure pretty well at Bristol City but it turned to sh*t big time.
And Neilson......., well i said my piece in the match day thread. Trust me, my best mate believe it or not, is a Jambo, and wee Robbie has his moments of wtf-ness. Even I had a "wtf" moment when he completely went defensive last season in the Scottish Cup v current holders Hibs.

Didn't want to start a new thread, but it's GREAT seeing Mourinho's team getting flippin a$$ rammed. By no means a Chelski fan, but enjoying seeing this. Time up for Jose?

Re: TIMES UP?
Whatever occurs with Rotherham at the next game, McCarthy will still be in position when the day is done and allowed to inflict further damage on the club and supporters. Say again, realistically don't expect any change until the end of season at least : Evans would seem content to let the manager pick up any bore draws and points here and there.
McInnes once again can't be neglected. Has put together a team at Aberdeen that can challenge for honors and may well become available over time but would he be persuaded to relocate south and work with a club that won't spend adequately in the transfer market. Personally I'd allow him the opportunity but it's all assumption, and so long as McCarthy remains in position, we got to go with what we possess.

Again, no to Derick McInnes. I'd rather see Alex Neil at PR before McInnes.

Re: TIMES UP?
Saint . I agree Mick will not be leaving anytime soon - unless we go.into that bottom 3. But under Mick idcsay that's unlikely too.
It depends on how much Evans wants this club of "his" to be vibrant and we'll attended on a Saturday afternoon.
Over to you Marcus Evans.........

I think its highly unlikely that Mark Warburton will see out his tenure at Rangers and if he became available and Mick was to leave I think he'd be perfect at our club.

How about a straight swap.
Makes sense. You want rid of our Mick and Clipboard, so we offer Zenga, Edwards, and we will even throw in agent Mendes,
for
Offer 2 for 3 cant be bad,Sounds like great deal for both of us.

Zenga sacked. McClaren returned to Derby, so. ... what's Mick's / TC's relationship still like with the board? Get the impression Mick still is fondly remembered by a reasonable section of Wolves fans. Could be like a divorced couple rekindling the spark that brought them together. Worth a try again ..... think of the kidsgoldandblack wrote:How about a straight swap.

Re: TIMES UP?
Things need to be going right for Warburton. The minute things start going tits up, he can't hack the pressure. His post match interviews are shocking at times. Don't think it'd be wise having him at PR.
IMO, he got lucky at Brentford, stumbled upon a winning formula.

Our board has changed since Mick was here, they don't even speak English let alone Yorkshire lol. Big Sam would be the idea man, one of us, a Wolf, and sqeaky clean,

well they do have a lot in common

Anyway Sorry Mike but your not having another Wolf as your manager, look what you did to our Mick.
Next Wolves manager: Sam Allardyce and Marco Silva installed as early favourites

Re: TIMES UP?
I remember lots of Leicester fans saying exactly the same about Nigel Pearson not too long ago. However to get out of their dire position they first needed a change of owner before the change of manager. Yes, Pearson did get them promoted before getting sacked, but neither of these events would probably have happened without the change of owner.
That's what we need and if Forest can find a new owner to take over from their sole owner Fawaz Al Hasawi, then surely we can find someone to take over from Marcus Evans, unfortunately for that to happen he will have to want to sell and that may well be the stumbling block.

Re: TIMES UP?
Just read that Wolves have sacked Zenga this morning after just 87 days in charge at The Mol.
That means that with the exception of Blackburns "new this season" manager Owen Coyle, all teams below and immediately above us in The Championship have sacked their manager after 14 games or less since the season started.
Whatever is written or stated publicly, Mick McCarthy must be feeling vulnerable.

Re: TIMES UP?
To my mind the whole thing has gone stale and as Charnwood says, the club is Evans plaything and tax fiddle. What I really find confusing though is why on earth MM is still at the club? Although he claims he is still ambitious and wants to manage in the Premiership again, I see little evidence of that happening with our current players and style of play. Our current demise offers him little hope, so why is he still here? I think he finds it comfortable and safe at ITFC with little chance of getting the sack.
A situation that suits both Evans and himself.

your problems are not with Mick, the same as our problems were never all Micks fault.

It has to be Mick McCarthy as the next football manager at Wolves and a return to basics.
No more f””king about with fancy dan titles, now more splitting the responsibilities up here and there, f*ck that.
Mick will put his arse on the bacon slicer, have broad enough shoulders to take all the pressure and will return a little sanity to the place.
Mick and a couple of his blokes in the technical area come match days, Mick having the final say on all things football.
Well WHO ELSE?
The bloke knows the club inside out, he would strip away all these added layers of frivolity that have sprung up without beneficial effects.
He would return the players to a normality, a culture built around a transport cafe, a mug of tea and a bacon sarnie.
Not a party canapé or a vol-au-vent in sight.
Can we get real for a minute and return to creating a football club built first with the bleeding basics.
Welcome Mick lets set about doing this right and end this f””king about.
A Football coach can not live off moments within a game, he has to provide framework.

Re: TIMES UP?
Really interesting snippet G&B. Says it all about supporters and their opinions - seen by at least one as the no-brainer Messiah to save their club, by others here as the epitome of boring, over cautious, and hoofball master!
What's your view? Would you welcome him and TC back, if that became a possibility. I suppose more importantly, do you think your owners would consider MM, and be prepared to buy out his contract? All of course hypothetical daydreaming (at the moment!)
I wonder, too, what MM's response would be, should an offer be made. Never go back; or unfinished business?....

I would have Mick back, and with the money now available I think we owe Mick and Clipboard the chance to answer there critics.
at Ipswich he's been left up stream without a paddle just as he was at the end of his time with us.
I think these new owners will go for another foreign manager,
I recon if Wolves offered the job to Mick he would still honour his contract with you, that's why he is still liked up here,.A man of his word and that counts for everything.
