No announcement from Evans and no statement of strengthening the team by anyone. With a new manager at Rotherham I can envisage they will be up for it and quite possibly be the team to "nick" a goal. Let us hope we can "nick" one more than them. Nothing will change at this club whatever the results are against lowly opposition. A defeat away to Bristol City would show us that McCarthy will be soon running out of excuses.

Regardless of what occurs in the game tomorrow it won't change (my) opinion in wanting McCarthy out of the club. For arguments sake the team could put on a show and win 6 - 0, but I lost patience with the manager some time back. Unless by some chance we can turn it around to such an extent by April and go into the end of season run as a promotion challenger with McCarthy still on board, he will have had the opportunity to redeem himself, but right now, any results that go our way, it's essentially papering over cracks.

Say again, expect a drawn game next up. They have their own objectives and will make a fight of it. Don't mind taking on an opposition that are battling for their league status, so long as we ourselves show a level of desire and enthusiasm.

It's not asking too much of the team.

Not sure I agree with much of that at all apart from the fact that this is indeed a game we need to win, MM himself has said it is a "must win" game. I have trawled through all of his recent interviews and at NO point has he ever called himself a "great" manager, he has said he feels he has done a good job in the 4 years he is here which cannot be argued with.

If the AGM was "mild mannered" then that is the fault of the fans, where were all the loud mouthed know it alls that want to give it large on forums and facebook ?? Why didn't they get their arses down there and have their say like they do when hiding behind a keyboard and a screen ?? As I understand it MM was applauded on more than one occasion during the process for his answers and the way he handled himself.

As for being break even then it has to be a massive well done to ME & MM for that scenario as we had been losing bloody millions for years so that is a great stride forward. No statement of strengthening ?? Really ? You must have missed the bit about wanting to strengthen the strking options in January with some of the Murphy money.

"Nick a goal" against Rotherham is nothing more than a figure of speech taken literally by the baying few, you yourself have said Rotherham are under new management and will be "up for it" so clearly it will not be a gimme will it, they will be sent up to pack the defence and grab a point at least so should we nick a goal and win it that will be ok surely ?

I also fail to see how defeat at Bristol City will mean MM has run out of ideas, that is just one very tough game in a 46 game season, a loss today would possibly lead to quite a few thinking he had run out of ideas but not at Bristol City.

In my view as we have now got all our class players back on stream, we SHOULD be able to string some good results together, that's providing Mick plays the likes of Williams, Bishop, McGoldrick, Grant, Emmanuel, Dozzel etc. and is strong enough to leave the likes of Chambers & Douglas on the bench, give the captains arm band to Scuse, lets really change things around and start a new chapter, BUT we all know Mick wont do that, if Douglas is partnering Scuse in midfield, then we will struggle big time, it will be the same old same old, in his comments of hope we can nick a goal against Rotherham tells it all exactly how his set up is going to be, we need to spank them by 5 goals or more, but it will probably be 0-0 and Micks comments will be, I'm pleased with a point against a good Rotherham side, I bet they show more fighting spirit than us and wont roll over, but lets see???????

I may be wrong but I honestly think Chambers is being dropped today, don't buy this injury thing, I suppose I have just put the tin hat on it and he will start again.

Not much more to say after the disappointing Rotherham game. The fans made it quite clear at the end of the game. Evans has to now take some form of responsibility for the sad atmosphere, the dwindling attendances and the poor football on offer. McCarthy will hang on for the contract pay-off if he is relieved of his duties but most fans feel the problems at this club are directly with Marcus Evans. Another two of my friends have given their season tickets away, saying enough is enough after todays game.

McCarthy probably saw today's score as something of an achievement and 'at least we didn't lose'

Seriously, a last minute strike to avert defeat against a team in final league position - one which had seen defeat in their last seven league games - and the manager would have been content with it.

If that's his prevailing attitude then sorry, but he needs to realize now that resignation is the only honorable thing remaining.

That's a good idea but new managers usually want to bring in their own..with no money that's not going to happen.We still have a few good players. Maybe sell off the ones that are rubbish & generate funds but who wants to purchase rubbish
