Understand your frustration and anger at the whole ITFC set-up, and the fact there appears to be no immediate prospect of significant change - on or off the pitch.

Pretty sure, though, you'll always remain a true supporter. By all means take a break - but come back when there's a chink of light shining through the current gloom. It can't last forever; and I think that MM knows that, as reflected in Saturday's starting line up. For me, with our 'quality' players returning to full fitness, his decisions over the next 5-6 games will provide a definitive indication of whether his time here is effectively up.

As much as i want town to win this Saturday.....but if we don't and drop down
to 19th or 20th position then i think it will be curtains for MM and he will be
on his way out the back door.

I know how you feel Number Nine. I've been a supporter sice 1962. I got a season ticket when the new Cobbold stand opened and held onto that until family life and work took me abroad and then to Hertfordshire. Each season I've always tried to get to at least four or five home matches and any away match in the London area. Sadly my last home attendance was November 2015 - I just haven't been able to build up any enthusiasm for the 180 mile round trip to see what has become very poor football. Perversely there were a few signs of better things in last week's match but I remain to be convinced about either the owner's long term intention or MM's abilty to take us to a higher level. So I won't be at Portman Road for a while. In the meantime my adopted home town's team (St Albans City: Vanarama South) are having a cracking season (5-0 home win last Saturday) and on Sunday take on the mighty Carlisle (undefeated this season) in the 1st round proper of the FA Cup. I have my ticket (£12 under cover on the halfway line) and I know I'm going to be in for an entertaining afternoon whatever the result!

Took issue with the sh*t produced for decades summarization. The club's had some success in say the last twenty-five years such as winning the old second division with John Lyall, Play-off success over Barnsley, Fifth placed finish in the EPL and European soccer for one or two seasons thereafter. (Not to mention two or three runs in the League Cup tournament)

Hell, between 1999 - 2005 alone there were invariably something to be involved in and the team were often challenging and you felt we could achieve something. Good times from both a personal and club perspective.

Let's be truthful, in the subsequent years we've seen an array of different names after Joe Royle vacated and they've been individually unsuccessful and together put the club back several years it could be argued. Mick McCarthy (regardless of the 'obligatory' taking us to a play-off opportunity) has now become stale and many now strongly advocate for his departure.

As for being a fan of Sir Robson's tenure : of course - anyone associated with the club can't speak highly enough of the individual, but you're making comparisons with something that occurred 35 years back and will never be duplicated.

Personally I think you're of the better participants on the pages and your omission would be tangible but if it's your decision to stay away due to team display and discontent, then respect your wishes. Remember we're all in it together and there's clubs in a much worse condition than ourselves.

Don't let McCarthy - or any other relevant names - spoil your participation and hope to see you back on board soon.

Always sad to see die hards leave the fold.Through the years there has no doubt been many episodes where you could have made such a choice but did´nt. I would´nt take what Bluemike said to Heart too much as hes as passionate about our Club as you doubtless are. Things have often been said in the heat of the momment or after a defeat which in hindsight may have been a Little hasty.
There are not many that have been posting on here longer than myself ,and though I dont have so much time on my hands anymore ,its still a great place to catch up and see whats going on.


Seriously hope that you stick with it if only to catch up and hear some opinions....we dont all have to agree(would be bloody boring if we did) but imho its still the best site for all things itfc, from good eye witness non tinted glasses supporters like us.

Can we just clarify something. I am pretty sure Number 9 is taking a break due to the garbage he feels is being dished up by the team and manager lately and not because of something I may or may not have said god knows how long ago, I think he is merely taking my advice of what to do if unhappy.

I certainly don't read it any other way than he is cheesed off with Town , style, tactics and Mick.........not "Mike" !

Not blue Mike lol. But because football is an entertainment and watching town these days isn't entertaining. I should still post I know but it's like I feel I get what I need just from reading these days. I think 9 is just upset because of the rubbish the last few years.
we have had some great moments in the prem and under royle, plus the giovanni and bullard star performances.
I understood MM negative output to start with so he could build a foundation but now it's just boring.
Remember everyone we have a great forum here and most importantly a great football club and what's happening now is only the small picture.

Is that all the costs amount to ? Was with the belief it would be a great deal more ? Fair enough have never run my own forum in my defense.

600 pounds per annum would seem a good deal and yet it's a shame there isn't more participation, whatever the expense.

Can I just say, not true mate! Back in the 90s, myself and 4 or 5 buddies had the season tickets in the same place for over 10 years. Each season, the season ticket holders around us ended up being different! People just wanted away from us! Wasn't my fault to be fair,.....,, one of my mates would scream and shout for 90 mins. He got on my nerves, never mind anyone else! He lives in Brisbane, Oz now.

These days, it's my me, my 22year old son and his mate. Quiet peaceful times at Easter Road. Until of course a referee decides to p*ss us off!

I know it's not horrendous SJ, but sometimes you wonder why you bother. As Long as you pay monthly it doesn't seem a great deal of money at least

I know exactly how you feel No 9.....Okay I accept the heart attack i had didnt help matters any,But i too felt enough is enough of supporting the dross served up to hard working supporters. Ive voted with my feet and my wallet. The only thing i miss is sharing a pint or three with my fellow tractor boys and galls pre match and post match

The love of this football club will always remain in my heart,But i cant support it financially any longer with whats on offer.1000s are no doubt feeling the same

Can I just say though, the day after Hibs won the Scottish Cup this year, 140,000 Hibs fans lined the streets of Leith Walk to see the open top bus and the cup. But Hibs average gate is just over 11K. Where are all the others? I'll tell you where...... They are in the Easter Road pubs while the game is on. My point is....., you could still travel to the pub and have those pre game beers without having to watch the "dross".

I guess if you are in Peterborough, maybe the journey becomes a factor. But even then, I know a few guys who travel from East Lothian to Easter Road to sit in the boozer with pals, then get a later bus home.

And the lesson......, never let Shyte football interfere with drinks with pals!

And a wee side lesson....., moderation and no meat pies if keeping that heart healthy.
