To the tune of O Flower of Scotland.
O sh*te of Scotland
When will we see
you actually win one
Your just a p*ss poor team
And we defeated
Poor Gordon's army
And sent him homeward
well stuffed again
The Scots are crying
The Three Lions Roaring
O'er a game that is lost now
it was so easy, for mighty England
As they defeated
Poor gordon's army
As we sent him homeward
Well stuffed again
The jocks are crap now
And in the past they must remain
But for mighty England
It is so easy
It was no contest
Against Poor Gordon's army
As we sent him homeward
well stuffed again.

Be careful Mike
we hadn't lost to the Irish in rugby ............ ever!
this is like over 588 games played between the two sides since 79AD
(don't quote me on the exact statistics given, but there were quite a few matches played before this little upset)

Won't be impartial, I'd like the Scots to win.
Truth be told, it's a largely futile exercise with two teams in a game that will ultimately mean nothing at the end of it all, and would rather be involved in domestics. Only that seeing the English national team suffer a setback invariably provides a sense of satisfaction.
No Scots team has won this fixture since 1999 if correct in that two game play-off for Euro 2000, and while this (occasion) won't be quite of the same magnitude, wish the visitors well in their endeavors.

I'm hoping Scotland leave their world class performance and 2 "goals of the qualifiers" until the second half......., I'll not see the first half due to travelling back to Edinburgh from Aberdeen on a train.

Can't speak for everyone, but the absolute need to win in this?....., does it apply to you guys in the same sense as a Norwich fixture?
Obviously I'd LOVE Scotland to win this, (and you'd love England to thump us) but sadly it doesn't give me that "need to win" feeling like a Hibs v Jambofuckers fixture.
Shed on Tour aside (

) anyone else see a league derby as infiniteiy more important these days? I'll put it down to the Home Internationals being scrapped all those years ago.

All joking aside Marko, I could not give a toss who wins tonight, it bothers me not one bit actually, International football means nowt to me and hasn't done for years. I am not sure I will even watch the game, depends if I have company or not.

Marko
Tbh even a Town v Norwich game doesn't seem so important to me now as it used too.
If it wasn't for my daughter don't think I would go to the game at Carrot Road next February but I know how much she wants to go to the game.
As for tonight looking forward more to the game at Hampden but at least there should be a bit of atmosphere at the New Wembley for once. As long as some friggin tourist doesn't start off a Mexican Wave!

I wouldn't go as far as to say that I couldn't give a toss about tonight, but I do understand the thinking. If Scotland are beaten, it really will be a "oh well" move on....., but the Edinburgh derby produces weeks of conversation and days of happiness or anger. Tonight definitely will not.
I give a toss though because we haven't been to a tournament since 98. That's just too long ago. To put that into a time perspective....., in 98, my youngest son was 4 years old......, he's currently 22 and touring South East Asia!

The thing that will be of most interest to me tonight will be to see if Gordon Strachan plays Berra in what I consider to be his best position - namely, unused substitute.

I miss the Home Internationals. That used to be an interesting competition until Scotland fans sandbagged Wembley with Rod Stewart in tow. I wonder if there is a small part of England growing in somebody's garden in Scotland.

I'm really looking forward to this one as much as any England v Scotland game which always creates such a great atmosphere.
As a patriot I look forward to England games although in recent years I can't say I've enjoyed many and liken it much to following Town.

where as the Scots could only misfire into the car park!!!
You could say it was a walk in the park for England!!!

Was like watching Hibs. Half a million attempts....., no goals. And Craig Gordon?? Dear oh dear. Hopefully he fks off and takes Grant Handley with him.
