School boy errors in defence, but I can't understand why Berra is playing if the stories about his wife/partner leaving him are true, and naffing off back up here to Scotland with his child. He can't be in the right frame of mind to be playing football.

Is that for real about Douglas? Whilst I wouldn't want him anywhere near our team we have a manager admitting he wont bring on a player for fear of crowd reaction. If Douglas was that good and MM really believed In him do you think he would care? And if.he dare not bring him on why put him on bench?

You really have to feel sorry for Douglas, to even be put in this situation is disgraceful.

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark. Mick has either lost the dressing room or certain players want him out.
It's really bad around the club and I for one believe that it will get worse before it gets better. The club is in disarray and Evans seems to be sitting on his hands. I hope he has a good contingency plan, but no doubt the chelski loving tw*t will have our clubs best interests at heart.
Furious right now.

McCarthy's post match interviews used to be entertaining, nowadays they are simply embarrassing.

McCarthy was best guess like a pig in sh*t after the game.
Never mind the scoreline, never mind the level of opposition, overlook the home advantage, turn a blind eye to being on the verge of one of the greatest embarrassments here at Portman Road in years - No, the be all and end all is we didn't lose..
Going to be fun seeing his approach to the replay game. Maybe set up for another stalemate for 120 minutes and hope to steal it on penalty kicks. People thinking of traveling up, do yourselves a favor and maybe sit this one out.

He sounds like a drowning manager tbh Charny. What else is there to say anymore?Charnwood wrote:McCarthy's post match interviews used to be entertaining, nowadays they are simply embarrassing.

Re: OMG...Just listened To McCarthys radio interview...
The comment McCarthy made about Douglas was a joke. I have no issues with Douglas as a person or as a squad player (but do have an issue with him and Skuse in the same team doing the same dual role) and to be put in the position he has just been put in with his manager's comments is unfair to say the least - can you imagine how you would feel if your manager said that you were not selected to do a job because someone else doesn't like you or had (in your own words) a "rejected"complaint? To say that he couldn't come on due to the crowd reaction clearly shows McCarthy is now acting totally inconsistently. One week he fills the team with his favourites, the next he swings to appeasement. All we want(ed) is a consistent balanced approach to team selection.
I would not have had an issue with Douglas being in the team on Saturday to replace Skuse and cover his forward thinking partner - which should have been Dozzell. In fact I would suggest we would have had a better balance to the team and, assuming the players are then allowed to express themselves (something I doubt is allowed to happen having watched McCarthy issue strict instructions from the touchline more than once this season), we would have been able to attack the opposition further up the pitch and make them chase us rather than vis-versa.

Spot on WBBlue.
I think Mick is now at the end of his reign. He has used up all his ideas, and simply doesnt know what else he can pull out of the hat. The players , I agree , appear to no longer believe in him - that usually only ends in one thing. It just needs to happen VERY SOON.
I actually said to BlueMike on saturday that MM darent bring Doyglas on: s why have him on the bench??...and where was McGoldrick?
Knudsens' body language was something else to behold Saturday . How he wasnt strug up by his team mates for his clear major sulk is beyond me. The players ( especially back four( bar Emmanual) were at loggerheads most of the match. and if McCarthy has lost the dressing room, he needs to go , now !

Re: OMG...Just listened To McCarthys radio interview...
To me, Knudsen looked like he was being made to play having been told that he is now behind Kenlock in the pecking order. i.e. he had a major sulk on and could not be bothered, rather than rolling up his sleeves to up his game and prove his worth to the Club.
Of course this view could be totally undone when he starts again on Saturday (assuming Kenlock is fit - I'm not sure what his injury actually was).
Another take on it would be that it is proof that some of the players no longer want to give their all for the manager. Who actually knows - we don't! Oh to be a fly on the wall at Playford Road today....

Hallam, it's gone under the radar somewhat but McGoldrick is injured, groin strain and having a scan today apparently.

ah, but that's it in a nutshell!!!
He doesn't play football - he just stands around like a dopey numpty, hoofs the ball whenever it comes near him, and gifts goals to the opposition.
Been saying for ages we shouldn't play him, but then again he is one of MM's favourites.

I was hearing whispers, but thought, nah, Didsy injured? Of course not, don't be daft!

So how many games did he manage then.. f ucking total waste of space.
MM kept it all hush, hush before didn't he, as we didn't want to get stung for hiked transfer fees. What a totally shyte season this is turning out to be - again!

Re: OMG...Just listened To McCarthys radio interview...
Not been able to see a lot of ITFC this season, but the one I did AND a host of games last season, Christophe for large portions of the games was striving to do two jobs; his own, and the jobs of the inept tw@ts around him. It's been blatantly obvious. I cannot for the life of me understand why Knudsen even became a regular. Berras accuracy may have dipped after Knudsen arrived, but his f**king work rate increased, and that'll be a fact. When anyone is overworked, mistakes creep in, like his mistimed shitty jump at Loftus Road. Never one to defend an in the wool Jambo, but Berra is one of the better players starting for ITFC at this particular moment in time. So, I'll 100% agree to differ with you on this one.rossi wrote:marko69 wrote:School boy errors in defence, but I can't understand why Berra is playing if the stories about his wife/partner leaving him are true, and naffing off back up here to Scotland with his child. Well in my opinion, its the other way around - Knudsen is crap because he's playing alongside that Scottish numpty Berra.marko69 wrote:Not been able to see a lot of ITFC this season, but the one I did AND a host of games last season, Christophe for large portions of the games was striving to do two jobs; his own, and the jobs of the inept tw@ts around him. Can only *sigh* at the "Scottish numpty" part, but if you genuinely believe the football aspect of your post, you know f*ck all about football.

If Mcgoldrick really was injured I would have expected to have heard the scan results by now as I believe mick said that was happening Monday?
Maybe I'm being unfair but I'm not convinced these players were injured. I really don't believe that both chambers and skuse had swollen knees, 2 players that very rarely suffer injuries having the same problem just before an FA Cup game? Just seems too much of a coincidence

Wouldn't be surprised if Chambers wasnt played so as not to cup tie him, for his eventual move to Wolves!
Skuse probably us injured.
McGoldrick defiantly injured AGAIN.see above link
Knudsen would be injured if I could get hold if him after last Saturdays abysmal performance .
Bishop - Towns latest "sick note"

hahahahaha, I'm cracking up.
As for the Scottish numpty - well, I think he's a numpty and he's from Scotland, do you have a problem with concise English?

Again, and keeping it strictly about Jonas Knudsen, (so Frosterino doesn't ban me) if this is your opinion, you know Fk all about football........ OR, to give you the benefit of the doubt since you seem to think some of us know nothing, ........ maybe you just don't watch him closely enough....., maybe noticing Berra make more mistakes that usual. I mean, come on, Rossi....., are you serious? A blind man can see Knudsen isn't very good.
And can I ask......... Were you ever dumped by a Scottish girl or something? You seem to have a bit of a problem liking us! I dunno, we'll have a bevvy one day, and it'll be a laugh. I know you've experienced the anger to banter thing over a drink with forum members.
