I like Freddie but his confidence in front of goal is shot!

While having been impressed with Sears on occasion throughout his time here, he appears one of a number of attacking names we have possessed in recent seasons that haven't lived up to expectation or not contributed as much as would hoped. Why the manager would choose to play him out of position only he knows but on his day (and in the right role) can prove effective and a useful addition to the squad. If Lawrence can be available on a permanent basis when his loan expires, and other kids coming through that can lend attacking options, there's the chance of some goals to be had but could take a time for new players to blend in or a proper cohesive unit to emerge and remain dependable.

I think he had 4 or shots well saved on Saturday. ...probably more in one game than any other Town striker recently. I didn't see him as someone lacking confidence. He looked more threatening to me that Pitman ever does. I'd keep him on the main striker role.

totally agree with you on that one. Sears needs a run of games in.his proper position, as does Chambers.

He would be on my list to ship out in the summer, funny how we all see things differently as I see a player with absolutely no confidence and in the main poor body language although I must admit saturday was better than he has been for months but still his finishing is woeful.
