Gary Rowett is a younger version of Mick McCarthy.ashfordblue wrote:I cant argue with that, a very good manager both at Brentford & Rangers, I think he likes his players to really play good passing football, far better manager than Stale and stagnant in his ways Mick, your right we do need a change, this summer, and even Gary Rowlett is better, he's free.

Fully agree BM, Has Zola proved himself elsewhere, certainly cant work with a basic championship club, very poor decision from the Brum owners to let Rowlett go

I don't think we should be looking to the SPL for potential managerial candidates. The caliber of play in Scotland's "elite" division is far detached from the championship league and ideally, if or when the time arises, we'll most likely employ someone from another club side in this league.
Who that may be remains to be seen but regards what just occurred in Birmingham and last weekends uplifting score with Reading, McCarthy is back in favor and a number of detractors will have formed a new opinion, so there's an awful lot in the balance at this precise moment. Best action is to simply wait until the summer and see what decisions have been undertaken by relevant personnel.

Re: Towns next manager come the summer?
There is always someone on this forum tripping over themselves to remind everyone else that the SPL is sh*t. Didn't think this time it'd be the person who occasionally has the Glasgow Celtic pic beside their name...... but, some people do confuse the f**king sh*t out of us I suppose.
Warburton did manage Brentford and done a fine job of it so I have no doubt that if he did arrive at PR one day, he'd know how to proceed, (if funds were made available but that's the f**king issue isn't it!)
