Yes. Can hardly be bothered to watch. They'll run rings round him. Too slow. Too negative. Doesn't mark well enough. 3-1 Norwich.rossi wrote:Skuse instead of Diagouraga? Now there's a surprise
I wonee what are the odds on Skuse scoring the first goal. ..

Can't get to see the game today due to family gathering....... but just checked match stats. From an offensive angle, things seem grim.

Yes. Haven't got close to their goal at all. We've kept them out but sooner or later they'll score. We need to change it somehow. We look vulnerable down the line, wingbacks struggling I think. I can see Norwich attacking that way in the second half.

Defending quite well how we didn't get a penalty only the ref can tell us!marko69 wrote:Can't get to see the game today due to family gathering....... but just checked match stats. From an offensive angle, things seem grim.

Indeed. Not too bad for now. Missing Lawrence obviously but defending well. No attempts on goal by either side that half says it all.

Skuse is our best mifielder today. The best I've seen him play.

sh*t, thought for a moment we were going to beat "this opposition" today but they've got back into it now. Around two minutes in change but f*ck it, you know what I'd take a point right now. Apparently they've been the better side and ideally should be ahead of all things so maybe something of a let off. Just see out the closing moments, would have liked to have picked up victory over these obviously.

That is one excellent result in my opinion and well done to all involved. Look forward to match reports.
Just one thing I noticed and it highly irritated me, (have seen highlights of just the goals on the sky app) ......, Knudsen scores, (and superb goal Jonas, getting into that position) ..... but the effin referee???? Travelling fans won't have heard it due to bouncing and celebrating......, but he just kept blowing and blowing and fking blowing his whistle. You absolute pr*ck....,, let the players celebrate their goal FFS!! He was running to the Ipswich fans for Gods sake. TIT!

Great result and undefeated in February! What a great month that was. Now we have Lawrence back and we can start to set up to win some games.
Super performance and two great goals. I don't think we can blame Bailkowski for theirs.

Re: Norwich City v Ipswich Town preview and matchday thread
Took in some quick game report from TWTD, some say Bialkowski deserved man of the match honors. Other players doubtless deserving of merit but I think that was a point may of us will take given the opposition maybe deserved to win it.
Will harm any ambition they may have about a top six finish and something to applaud, but some reports indicate it was something of an overall mediocre game and far from the magnitude of previous encounters. As before would have liked to have beaten these *$%*$ but on the face of it, we'll be the more content with this eventual score.

Re: Norwich City v Ipswich Town preview and matchday thread
a point at Carrot Road is a good result in anybody's book, so a big 'well done' to all concerned for that.
But overall I was extremely disappointed with the way we played - far too many high balls played to the right hand side where they have a 6 foot 4 inch defender, absolutely moronic I call that. And not enough attacking movement - maybe that's because we started with the more defensive minded midfield option. To me, it looked as though we set up for a point, so fair play we succeeded - but overall I was disappointed.

The fact it was a mediocre game is full credit to Town, Norwich looked far the better team for parts of the game, but Town did well to break any rhythm.
Shame we couldn't hold on for the win, but I feel that was asking too much, and would bet Norwich would've got one back whether Bialkowski saved the shot for their goal or not.

Lets have reality check
Four years Norwich City they say spent £57 Million
Four years Since MM taken charch spent £1.2 Million
Maybe he deserves bit more of a pat on his back than the abuse hes been given.. Good result, well done i say

Gritty, solid performance from Town given huge disparity in terms of investment and resources. Town should have had stonewall penalty early in the game but at least Ref spotted handball shortly after the break. Thought we defended well throughout and, all in all, good point gained.

Re: Norwich City v Ipswich Town preview and matchday thread
Just back from Scum City and by and large I am happy. No need for long reports as you no doubt all saw it for yourself. In the main I thought we did ok although I must admit I was somewhat disappointed with how we played going forward in the first half, created nothing while our Two Wing backs struggled too, however for the most part I felt we defended pretty well. Clearly they got the luck again as it looked a stone wall penalty for the foul on Didsy but thats the way it goes.
I felt we were more of a threat going forward in the second half with Didsy again looking very influential while Spence got his act together. The scenes and celebrations when we scored were incredible and no word of a lie I was pushed forward 3 or 4 rows and at one point was horizontal !!! Shame we failed to keep the lead for long as the crowd would have turned on them for sure, for me a Bart error to be beaten like that but the guy made Three really good saves to keep it level so can't be too hard on him.
I felt along with Bart that Skuse was superb today and I would have given him MOTM to be honest, Berra too stood firm against the difficult Jerome. As someone has already said lets have a sense of perspective here, a 70 Million squad against our 1.5 Million and by and large we did ok, yes they had the better chances but we showed great commitment and effort to hold them, add to that we all but ended their play off hop[es and kept our record in the all time head to head of being the most successful team in East Anglia so it's not all doom and gloom. Unbeaten in February, who would have thought it ???

Good comments Mike,l can't really see how we can be to disappointed with the display when you look back at the train wreck we were 4/5 weeks ago.most people would have taken a draw before the game started so let's all sit back and enjoy the fact we wearnt rolled over and did give them a game!
