If Mick McCarthy starts listening to Terry Butchers advice, get your f**king mortgage on relegation.

You could listen to Terry Butcher all day long and probably could be sucked in by his knowledge, because he does have "knowledge"....... but he couldn't lace Micks boots with regards to being a football manager.

It'd be like a really renowned sh*te heating installer walking in to one of my jobs and telling me my radiators are squint.

Terry Butcher may not have a successful record as a manager but he is a very knowledgeable fan of our club. I think its a bit harsh the way some people mock him and make him out to be some kind of idiot. As it happens I share his opinion on Garner, maybe he, I and anyone else who has these doubts will be proven wrong but I don't think he should be shot down for giving his opinion. Its more than likely the press leaning on him knowing he will be open to talk than him going to the papers to tell everyone he thinks Garner is not the right option.

He hasn't ever managed Ipswich Town, so yes, probably not good for PR regulars to be so harsh.

He managed Hibernian FC though, in Scottish football,...., (a football scene that most on here claim to give no interest to whatsoever) , so I'm very much entitled to my opinion, where as many of the opinions on here are much less entitled.

Yes, knowledgable man, absolute sh*te manager and again, I fully expect Mick to completely ignore the incompetent twats opinions on future playing staff at Portman Road.

Not knocking your knowledge on scottish footie Marko but i have to agree with most of what Terry Butcher had to say in that report. I cant comment on garner though as i dont know anything about him, however if terry has been following rangers on tv etc he must have some idea if garner fits into the town set up and way of hoofball??

Is Terry making a massive revelation here though? I say that with regards to Mick McCarthy and his staff? He will be making a revelation to 95% on here I suppose.

Think I'll step the fk out of Terry Butcher conversations. Still too bitter and twisted about him spending my season ticket money on ageing Motherwell rejects and taking the club to despairing depths.

ITNO1, never at any point did I think you, Charlton or anyone was knocking me, buddy. I just get overly opinionated when I hear Butcher giving advice..... whether it's good advice or not. He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy!

Bolton are favourites apparently. Think we will see this theme repeated time and again over the summer.
Evans simply won't be willing to stump up enough money. f**king sell the Club then you bent tw*t!

Hope he doesn't play like Celina Dion and the Town "sink" into League One! :D

No more negative comments from me for a few weeks, off to Italiano tomorrow afternoon and cannot wait. Hopefully on returning, I see some posts from Herforder.

Liam Boyce worth a punt. Big strong centre forward with a brain.
Scored freely for Ross County I think. Watched him many times for Cliftonville at Solitude. We could use him
Significant cost but not out of our range. C'mon zMick get it sorted. Playing for N Ireland tonight. Sky sports 4

I might add that I emailed ITFC about Stuart Dallas when he played for Belfast Crusaders. Now at Leeds. Could have got him for pennies.

Sadly the Club doesn't appear to value Fans opinions. Their and our loss!

Have to agree that Big Terry Butchers managerial career is not great, However he has seen more of Scottish footie than most of us and therefore may have a point.
Cant slate the lad though before he has even kicked a ball for Town. Players respond differently to different personal........Time will tell
