lot o talk down here in Cardiff that you are about to sign Graig Noone from us. He is one of three players told they can find another club. Stumbling block apparently was his wages but talk is that he's on his way.

Wouldn't surprise me if this happened because we seem to have so many injuries at the moment. You haven't got a CB going free at the moment have you, cos we definitely need good one of those right now!

Interesting to speculate, given the apparently rebuffed bid of £25m for Sessegnon from Spurs, what a fit Andre Dozzell might be worth in this moment......... Surely 10-15 million.

Yes Noone is a fast clever player who has scored some spectacular goals. He does not seem to fit into Warnock's way of playing and he is on top wages which may be a stumbling block. Its all gone quiet about it down here at the moment. We got plenty of CB but I don't think their going anywhere but it looks as if our LB Joe Bennett is of to Fulham . Shame but he as a clause in his contract allowing him to go if he gets a better deal. Bloody good player that we don't want to lose.

Mick needs another centre back pronto our defence is too fragile at the moment, any one know of any rumours flying around of any possible moves to secure one, I know Taylor was a sick note, BUT he would have done a job for a short while until we get a decent C back

Was involved in Lescott's activities for some amount of time and while a good defensive player that was both versatile and could be utilized in other areas of play, was prone to moments of indecision and tendency to go missing. Would he sign here, simple answer, unlikely. Time has moved on, a different club, different location, not to mention the advancing years.

An invariably dependable defensive unit, but no Matthaus or Maldini. Once again his time has passed, the chances of appearing with us are between slim and zero.

Yes to my own question......

Town are reportedly looking to sign Nottingham Forest central defender Jack Hobbs on loan.

According to The Sun on Sunday, the Blues want to add the 29-year-old to their squad before Thursday’s 11pm deadline and are negotiating how much of his £1 million wage they should pay.

Hobbs is out of favour at the City Ground having featured in only their Carabao Cup games this season, after making only 10 appearances during 2016/17.

The Portsmouth-born defender started his career with Lincoln City, where he became their youngest debutant aged only 16 years and 149 days, before moving on to Liverpool on his 17th birthday.

While at Anfield, where he made only three starts and two sub appearances, the 6ft 3in tall centre-half spent time on loan with Scunthorpe, Leicester and Hull before joining the Tigers on a permanent basis for £850,000 in June 2011.

The former England U19 international joined Forest on loan in July 2013 before making his move a permanent switch the following January.

Speaking after yesterday’s 2-0 defeat to Fulham, Town boss Mick McCarthy said he was confident of adding another centre-half to his squad before the transfer window closes on Thursday.

Owner Marcus Evans was at yesterday’s match and seems likely to have held talks with the Blues manager after the game with McCarthy unusually late for his press conference having missed his regular post-match meet-up with his opposition counterpart, Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic.
