Yeah congrats england lads . AMN was poor at ipswich to be fair mike. Obvious talent but crap for us.

He actually started very brightly. For some reason (make up your own mind....) he stopped playing his natural game and started cutting inside and playing deeper, and was much less effective.

Put money on it, it was MM tactics to partly blame. The other thing was as a kid, he went off the boil for quite a period of time....lost his confidence a bit? and constantly lost possession of the ball, which was pounced in by a section of the crowd. I think this is why he wasn't keen on a second stint with us.

Maybe the FA refused to buy his Mum a ticket to the World Cup and he was able to focus better ;-)
