Re: Welcome Emyr.
And we already have a song for him.
To the tune of carefree wherever you may be....
Huws Huws wherever you may be
he shags sheep in his own country
but it could be worse
He could be scum
shoving things up his sisters bum......
The North stand will get that rocking this season.

Huws Huws wherever you may be

but it could be worse
He could be scum
shoving things up his sisters bum......
The North stand will get that rocking this season.

I can see some twisted parents faces if that's sung in the family section!

Great news - well done to all involved in getting this deal over the line. Hopefully help cheer up some of those suffering from terminal negativity!
Love the song, btw.

....and we've got him for under a £1m. Bargain of the season I'd say.

Problem is that's not a very complimentary song from Town fans towards Huws......accusing him of shagging sheep in his Country!!

Just as long as no one ties a sheep to a lamp-post down Portman Road...... he'll think it's the Leisure Centre.

Re: Welcome Emyr.
Now here's a young player with a really good attitude who could well be a future club captain. If I recall correctly he came on loan to Town on a deal that involved him taking a pay cut just to get a chance of playing regular football and clearly he liked the set up here. I do like the four year deal and can't recall the last time we offered a four year contract to any player, hopefully this will work well for both player and club.
There's an outside chance his signing could also influence Tom Adeyemi choosing to come to Portman Road instead of going to Norwich.

Re: Welcome Emyr.
If he goes to Norwich I doubt he'll be losing anything Liz as it will probably mean they've offered him a helava lot more money and unfortunately for many footballers this is the only thing that matters.

Re: Welcome Emyr.
I'm not clear on whether Adyemi was MM's fall-back, should the EH deal have gone belly up. Or whether he's another potential addition. But, inevitably, it's likely to be about the money; or perhaps Adyemi believes there's unfinished business for him in the land of the swivel eyed!

Re: Welcome Emyr.
As you are already aware you have a good prospect in Huws but I'm not sure about Amyemi who didn't hack it down here but perhaps Macarthy may be able to get the best out of him. He does have ability but only showed it in short bursts. Many liked him but the majority were disappointed. Down here we have seen massive changes both in the set up and squad under Warnock. There is now a feeling of confidence amongst fans and we will be disappointed if we don't get to the play offs. If Mic is still looking to build his squad he could do far worst than having a look at a youngster with us who is up on a free. Declan John a who can play wing back or wing. Under Mackay he played regular in our Championship winning side and played over 30 times in the Premiership. After Mackay left we had a few idiots in charge who messed him about. When he spoke to Scott Young who was in joint charge about the situation he was dismissed to train with the youth and never really recovered his place. John is an excellent prospect and like Huws a Welsh International. In our preseason he has shown what he can do and would be well worth a punt.
