Handy Parking - Pride Park - 12/9/17
I hope this may be helpful to any Ipswich fans travelling to Derby by road for the game on 12th September, parking is available for away fans on 2 sites, 100 and 400 yards from the stadium at £6 per car/van [sorry no coaches].
Assuming that most will eventually travel via the M1, leave at Jct25 and head towards Derby on the A52 [Brian Clough Way], about 1 mile past the SPONDON/ASDA exit is the slip road to PRIDE PARK, take care as there is a pedestrian crossing immediately after the sharp bend.
Go past the North end of the stadium to the 3rd island [opposite the Clough/Taylor statue] and turn right into RIVERSIDE ROAD, the FRENGER SYSTEMS car park is about 60 yards on the right hand side.
For those who may wish to eat/drink before the game, continue along Riverside Road to the last unit on the left hand side, the PRIDE VETERINARY CENTRE car park is handier for the away friendly hostelries [ask attendant Dave or Terry for details].
I hope this helps, have a safe journey.

That's very kind of you mate, we normally do go by car to Derby but being a midweek it's the coach unfortunately this time. My fav away day by the way, mainly because we always win there LOL.

A number of Derby fans have some animosity towards the club for the capitulation / surrender to Nottingham Forest in the final round of games last season. Got a valid point, the opportunity was there to put them into League One and we just handed them victory. Probably blown over by now but doubtless one or two still harbor some degree of grudge.

Do you think that animosity has affected the parking in Derby?

Just to update.
At present there are roadworks on the A52 near the PRIDE PARK slip road, hopefully they will be completed by match day, also the Fireplace Workshop car park [immediately after the sharp bend] is now closed and under redevelopment.
All other details are as the original post.
