Great News this, was really impressed with him at Luton and particularly at Palace, would be amazed if he does not play for the first team in the not too distant future.Young defender Luke Woolfenden has signed a new Town deal which runs to the summer of 2019 with an option for a further season at Portman Road.
Eighteen-year-old Ipswich-born academy product Woolfenden was given a one-year deal in the summer but since then has broken into the first team picture, making his senior debut as a sub in the Carabao Cup victory at Luton and then his first start at Crystal Palace in the next round.
The centre-half or right-back has been a regular on the bench in the Championship but is yet to make his league debut.
New deal for Woofy.

That's great news, I agree Mike, he's getting close to keeping a place in the 1st team imo

Is he Woofy or Woolfy?
Woolfy's got a bit more pedigree and bite as a tougher-sounding nickname than Woofy.

Now another youngster get a contract
Ipswich defender Pat Webber has signed a first professional contract which will keep him at Portman Road until 2019, the club has announced.
The 18-year-old, who can play at either left-back or in central defence, joined the Sky Bet Championship outfit from Worthing on a two-year scholarship last summer, but has now been rewarded with a deal which includes the option of a 12-month extension.
Webber made his senior debut for the club in a 2-1 Carabao Cup defeat by Premier League Crystal Palace in August.

Webber was the stand out player in the first half at Palace, very good news.
