Is this the best £3m ever spent by any football club.

Leicester City have agreed to pay the Football League £3.1m after settling a Financial Fair Play (FFP) dispute from the 2013/14 season when the club won the Championship.

The Foxes exceeded the permitted £8m loss when they won promotion.

Surely this must be the best £3m ever spent by any football club in the world and a lesson to all other clubs in particular those playing in the Championship, especially when you compare this outlay with their record revenue of £233million in 2016/17. This according to Deloitte Football Money League is the 14th highest revenue in world football.

It certainly makes a mockery of the FFP Rules.
