Hallam....... in England, “piddled” may mean drunk....., but here in Scotland it means you’ve peed your pants.
It’s on my bucket list to watch a game of football with you and Mike one day, but if you’re going to be sitting beside me piddling yourself???

Yep, the World Cup has started. Great free kick by Ronaldo, but it’ll need to be something very special to top Nachos goal. Unbelievable.

Did de Gea collide with Ramos and get concussion Karius-style?
Great game. I don’t like Ronaldo, but he proved what a truly great player he is. Spain would have easily won that without Ronaldo.

Feel so sorry for Peru, I thought they were excellent and far superior to the Danes who for me were so limited and p*ss boring.

Tale of the goalies past few weeks, ....., karius, De Gea yesterday, and Schmeichel today. If not for his keeping, (and lucky breaks) Peru win.

Just seen Croatia win v Nigeria here in Slovenia, not sure why the locals are all so unhappy.

I’m surprised they’re still awake, Charnwood. Fell asleep ten minutes into the 2nd half.

I cannot believe Shearer & Ferdinand ripping the sh*t out of the German performance. Ok, they lost, but they were still playing some very VERY silky stuff. Mexico put on a quite unbelievable defensive counter attacking performance. If England could stroke the ball around like the Germans did tonight, they’d be creaming their Ys in the studio. A$$holes.

Unfortunately I’ve not had the chance to watch a single game as yet as we’re on such a busy schedule. Just noticed the Croatia game was on as the waiters in the restaurant we were in were all trying to follow it.
Even worse tomorrow night as I can’t see a way to watching the England game, I just floated the idea with the missus that I might skip our arranged dinner tomorrow night at The Castle at Lake Bled to watch footie and she wasn’t very amused. I guess after skipping off all day to play golf at Royal Bled, it’s highly unlikely I’m going to be watching any footie. Grrrrrrr.

Doubt many people in Mexico would have even caught that victory : too busy elsewhere i.e. attempting to cross our borders / claim welfare, or selling fruit along the highway.
Credit where it's due, that was a score few could have envisaged but they're not going to win the damn contest outright. Germany are the #1 team for resilience / fightbacks and overcoming adversity therefore would expect to see them make Round Two and continue to the final stages.
Competition's in too fundamental a stage to be making proper judgments but that Iceland score yesterday, f*ck I don't know, Yes they're an awkward team as demonstrated at the last Euro's but would have expected to have seen a comprehensive victory all the same.

Most Mexicans were watching. That wall is too long and high to contemplate.saint jude wrote:Doubt many people in Mexico would have even caught that victory : too busy elsewhere i.e. attempting to cross our borders / claim welfare, or selling fruit along the highway.
Hope Neymar never goes out in a strong wind....... he’ll get blown away. Pathetic how easy that laddie goes to the ground.

It’s certainly been unpredictable, but I think the big guns will recover. There should be some amazing games in round two.

Very impressed with Mexico in the first half, so dangerous and quick on the break but I still expect Germany to win the whole thing, as Marko said they still played some good stuff themselves.

It's early days but the potential draw going forward is already looking messed up.

VAR: For something that could be so simple to implement, they’re making a total arse of it.
Football / Soccer needs to pull its head out of its own arse and look at how other FASTER sports use it. Fkn idiots.
