This reminds me of a conversation I was having with the Mrs about a young Aussie Rules Footy Star (only 26 years old) who has the dream life. Mega-rich, has a yacht, his own beach, own surf school, drives sports cars, single but has quite few girls on the scene, .......

Showing my age, but I well remember Mike d'Abo succeeding Paul Jones as lead singer of Manfred Mann. I always though he was very much underrated.

Agreed, BB. Recent band re-union saw both lead singers on stage together - didn’t fudge it!

Interestingly, Keef Richards and Brian Jones invited Paul Jones to be lead singer in a band they were forming. He declined; and the rest, as they say, is history!
