You really are a miserable git, typical Town fan of the modern day.

It was just lazy editing. What was the point in it? There was no clear story just random clip after random clip. Was I reminiscing or was it getting me pumped for new season?

I just thought it was some nice memories mixed in with the hope of a bright new era. We need some positivity back at this club.

Definitely gets you pumped up for the season. Whether the Blackburn game brings everyone back with a bump is another story.

The clip of them all walking past the camera near the end ...., Wark, McCall, Mariner, Gates, Burley, Butcher......, What a fkn team. Loved each and every one of them.....

I talk about 70s / 80s Hibs with my son. He was born in 94 and I got to say, he couldn’t give less of a fk about my Hibs stories!
But here is the thing....... I too, couldn’t really give a fk about my uncles 1950s Hibs stories. I was like, “yeah, whatever dude!”
Happy that the history is there, but not really that interested.
Can imagine the people who were microscopic dots in their dads bawbag when Mariner was scoring hatricks v Man Utd just do not care:..., they don’t want to hear it. They want Hurst to make it all happen again so they can experience some glory.

Let’s start by getting two Norwich scalps this season, and finish above them. That’ll do.

Don’t feel Aylesbury’s anger, but there are sometimes I get cheesed off with some being over- nostalgic and living too far in the past.

I love the late seventies and early eighties. The Burley era in the early noughties was great. But i find it weird to see Hurst among all those great moments... it’s up to him to earn that right to add to the great times. Time will tell. I actually stopped watching when I saw the Chambers header against Norwich last season, because it was a great moment ...but we all know what happened in the last minute of the game.
Probably too much thinking and should sit back and enjoy it all...

Well i for one loved it Mike.
The old history mixed in with good clips of recent times, and then add Hurst into the mix.
For some reason i've not been this excited about an up coming season in years.
i'm really looking forward to it, yes there will be days when i think WTF! but i feel we're going in the right direction, and are gonna be playing good footbal as well

And I hope you realise that I loved it too. I did comment on it positively at the start of my post. Those days were awesome.

I was just marrying it with the fact that I too have sons in their 20s and 30s who wish I’d stfu about 70s/80s Hibs.

To be honest, I actually sometimes laugh my a$$ off at yours and Aylesbury Blues very occasional exchanges. My son 24 year old son Scott is constantly trying to tell me that I talk Shyte!

Ok in my case, (and in your defence) Scotty is probably bang on the money!

Aylesbury and I are like two big kids all the bloody time, its hilarious but god he jarred me yesterday lol.

I still say things it wrong to have Hurst and Chalobah in the same breath as sir bobby and John Wark. Just felt like over compensating for MM leaving....

I am excited for the new season but the tension is getting to me! I think I’ll be grey by the time I get to Rotherham!

The point of it to me was could this be the start of another great era with Hurst joining the greats, unlikely but without hope we have nothing. What is grey ??

Thanks, I thought it was a good piece too, we can but dream of some of those times again.
