A good read it just shows the difference between the two managers it seems that Hurst does not have any man management skills, how can you get the best out of players treating them like that.

I think that's exactly what happened. Hurst lost the confidence of the players, and as we all know it's hard to succeed at anything if you don't respect your leader. I think one of the more elusive challenges for managers stepping up a league is indeed man management.Kerry Blue wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 4:50 pmA good read it just shows the difference between the two managers it seems that Hurst does not have any man management skills, how can you get the best out of players treating them like that.

Re: Interview with a Goalkeeper
Pretty poor from Hurst.
Hurst had plenty of bigger problems to solve at that point... why not do a simple bit of man-management and tell Bart up front.
Easy to say now... dunno... I have a feeling that there was a problem getting the respect of senior players from a lower league manager coming in. Maybe Hurst over-compensating and trying to instill too heavily that he’s the boss and reputations dont mean anything. It backfired.
Good thing for Lambert... he doesn’t have to suffer from being Mick’s successor and his legacy and he’s got the sympathy of clearing up the mess he found.

An interesting read and yes pretty poor from Paul Hurst in the way he has treated both keepers, that said it was 100% the correct decision to drop Bart just not done correctly.

Bart is certainly happy PH has gone this can be very good news for Town. Let's hope his form improves now.

Totally agree Mike, Bart needed to be dropped, but the way it was done was tottally inexcusable

Thought this was going to be news of a follow up to a Tom Cruise film. Gutted!
