Makes me very sad, must be absolutely gutting for the lad. It's amazing in the world of today with so much tech and research in the area that such things can happen with such unabating regularity.

I think the same but with our luck he would do the same as McGoldrick.😤

Ipswich Town and St John's Ambulance should strike up a partnership

Really starting to doubt Ipswich Towns training facilities. Are they training at Newmarket, (good to soft going?)
Delicate Didsy pulling hammys every other day at ITFC, goes to Sheffield and starts banging in goals.
Don’t think I can even remember a game seeing Huws mentioned in the match report.
Echo Hallam......, try and offload......., or change the training regime.

 going is good to firm (concrete in places)

Might have to start watering the training ground to soften it up a bit, protect these delicate players little knees.

Agreed, he is the missing box to box creative Midfielder we crave, we just have to play Bishop now though, looks back to something like his best.

The player is only 25 so unless his injury is a career ending one he should still be able to make a full recovery. I think part of the problem is that some players play such little competitive football they never get fully match fit. When you look at the stats Huws has only made about 20 competitive games over 3 seasons and I guess many of those were sub appearances, how the hell do you ever get match fit playing so few games.

I think he’s got degenerative cartilage and quite likely some level of arthritis in the knee Andy.

It apparently swells up everything he does training.

There isn’t much they can do about it. Technology to “ replace “ cartilage is still in its research stages and whether that would be suitable for the elite athlete demands is debatable.

If that’s the case Liz I guess his next step would be premature retirement with an Insurance claim. One of my good friends is an ex pro footballer who received a multi million pound pay off when he was 28 and at the time playing for Crystal Palace. His also was a knee injury which is never good news for a footballer.
