Re: Peterborough United vs Ipswich Town (EFLT) Preview & Matchday Thread
I remember when Cotter played before and everyone raved about him. ....but he had no defending to do. I think i said at the time I'd reserve judgement until I'd see him have to defend.Bluemike wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 9:22 pmThey look more threatening going forward, we've played some ok stuff at times from Roberts, El Mizouni and McGavin but Huws has been putrid throughout. Defence has looked shaky at times, particularly Cotter who looks better going forward than he does defending. Keeper looks handy. If They bring their main strikers on they win it.
At risk of repeating myself, there are few fullbacks who can defend AND get forward well.
I think Huws is a spent force too.

Never seen him defend. And I'm not commenting on how good he is at defending. I'm just saying that one match where he had no defending to do is not an ideal situation to judge a full back.derick_ipsw wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 9:44 pmAre you at the game or watching on ifollow? Didn't see the game. He's shown before he can attack and I'm delighted for him. But can he defend?derick_ipsw wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 10:44 pmI don't know why you all doubt the lad. I love being right.

Don't forget the FIVE other pens though, nor the keeper

Think it was their reserves in the main. Tbh they played the better football. Don’t think Norwood touched the ball more than 5 times second half

Re: Peterborough United vs Ipswich Town (EFLT) Preview & Matchday Thread
So our kids are better than there’s lol ? ........Do you know what Ando, I don’t actually care. We’ve won the game and results are what counts by and large don’t they, especially in a knock competition.
I don’t like the way we chop and change the team every single game. But Lambert can’t be challenged can he if we keep doing things like this . I suspect we’ll see the benefit in the kids next season.

I agree Liz, invaluable experience for the younger lads. Like the look of cotter. Would like to see him go out on loan like woolfy did.
