George Hirst

Seems to be really struggling at Blackburn. A lot of their supporters seem to be underwhelmed by him and to add to his woes he missed a last minute penalty against Cardiff last Saturday. One of their fans even said “I don’t know about Leicester wanting 5 million for him we shouldn’t even take him on a free”.
Even though he was never going to come here perhaps it turned out for the best that he didn’t.

Dodged a bullet there then, I think a lot of people wondered what all the fuss was about.

How old is he? I think that’s the problem with players coming from PL there’s a lot expected of them and it’s almost as if they’re assumed to be the finished article. Not want you want as a permanent signing ( for us ) this season.

Just because Blackburn haven’t got the best out of him so far doesn’t mean McKenna can’t.

Could be like Troy Parrott. Couldnt hack it in the championship so dropped down a,level. Scored a few for Mk Dons lasr season.
Mind you.... glad we didn't get him in the end as his price tag was too high. If we do eventually get him then it might be better on the cheap where McKenna works his magic. Have to say.... hes over-priced and at 23 he's only had one good season.

No! Surely not?

Fairly certain the song, “THERES ONLY ONE TAMAS PRISKIN” is accurate.

I actually feel pretty much any player coming here will do well, we have top coaches and a great manager. All the squad seem to be performing pretty well when called upon and that’s a credit to the staff.

KM would have worked his magic and got him Doing well here

Agree 100%, which makes Simpson’s decision all the more baffling to me.

For whatever the reason Simpson had fallen out of love with ITFC which is/was his prerogative and best he moved on.

That was different - it was the club setting a stance on agents /wages, once you back down once then your screwed going forward. I don’t think the club will let themselves even get to that point in the future.

Talking of Tyreece Simpson I see he’s not even got on the bench for Huddersfield yet let alone played and by all accounts currently out with a knee injury. I bet he’s a happy bunny.

Think I read somewhere that when they signed him they expected he would be out injured until Christmas.
