Those of you that were watching on ifollow last night were probably celebrating the goal before us lot at the ground. None of us Town fans in the away end had any idea that it had gone in and there was a delay before the celebrations began. After the 2nd one went in it was absolutely mental on the concourse at half-time.

I don't think Luongo noticed it was in either  Commentators didn't declare it with any certainty, it didn't ruffle the net, the Barnsley players just froze and the Town players were slow to cotton on and only really started running rather than celebrating

If you look at the clip of it the club put on Facebook etc - it looks a ridicilously easy goal, really bad defending/goalkeeping.

I have no idea how Broadhead squeezed that (headwear EDIT HEADER) in between the post and the keeper . It’s was the slightest of head (EDIT CONTACT ON THE BALL to uh on that). Ross to do I. ( EDIT…. HAVENT GOT A SCOOBY DOO LOL ) .What a player he is . I don’t think even he realised initially that it had sneaked in….hence the delay. You could hear the Town fans delayed celebration and I think they only knew it was a goal,by the players responses lol .

Hirst goal was stunning. An example of power, strength, never giving up and epitomised everything about his performance last night against a very strong physical CB who appeared to be fouling Hirst all bloody night .

I’ve no idea how the ball found the back of the net either, there certainly wasn’t much of a gap between the keeper and the post, I think it must have been the sheer pace of the ball. I can’t believe how much our set play has improved under McKenna and his coaches compared with corners and free kicks etc pre his arrival. As for Leif Davis he’s a class apart when it comes to taking corners and free kicks and has to take as much credit for the goal as Broadhead. That said I suspect the Barnsley goalkeeper will be pretty disappointed he didn’t do better given how close he was to the ball and how small the gap was between him and the near post. The timing couldn’t have been better and to get a second goal 90 seconds later and bang on half time must have absolutely stunned them.
