Plymouth at 12-1…that’s a good bet. Not likely, but

Maybe little over eager on the betting

Must say though, prefer those odds to when we were one of the firm favourites for going down last time in the Championship

Just very good seeing Ipswich Towns name amongst those other names after 4 years. No more Cheltenhams.

Yeah I think that 1-1 draw against Cheltenham was one of my meltdowns lol!

So is it too early to talk expectations then? Town did blow away the league towards the end. A few shrewd signings, I think they could/should finish top half. I'd be disappointed with a 13th/14th finish or worse I think.

I agree with the expectation thing although betting odds are pure conjecture at the moment as no transfer business even started yet, the bookies just list them in order from big club down, taking into account relegated and promoted sides.

I'd say Ipswich are bang in contention next season and that the club will be expecting it.
None of this consolidation nonsense. The investment will be there, the coach is in place and get off to a good start and I'd say Town are in with a very good shout.

You'd like to think so, there's certainly a lot of people from outside the club fancying Town to be up there again.

I agree. We should be capable of a top half finish. We are one of many clubs who will hope to be top 6, and that would be great, but to half would not be a failure.

That's how I see it too, top half finish with maybe a sniff of the play-offs. Anything more would be wonderful.

This season’s Championship has a whiff of the good old First Division (long before the plastic shyte that the PL is and had even been a passing thought by Sky tv).

By “whiff of the old First Division”, I mean it’s no cut snd dried as to who will do well in it. Any number of clubs could stake a claim, and the difference between the numerous squads is small. I’d going to be a very close and good season I think. Can’t wait 👍
