Think this scenario is likely t9 be played out for almost every away game for Town fan this season, having paid £40 for a
“ membership”, I suspect a lot of fans simply won’t have enough points on their card to be able to buy an away ticket for a game. The Club potentially have shot themselves in the foot with this, coz I doubt fans will stump up £40 for essentially “ nothing”.
A TWTD post response to Sunderland tickets allocation…..
From club website.
2023/24 members with 30+ Away Priority Points – Monday, 24 July at 10am.
2023/24 members with 25+ Away Priority Points – Tuesday, 25 July at 10am.
2023/24 members with 20+ Away Priority Points – Wednesday, 26 July at 10am.
2023/24 members with 15+ Away Priority Points – Thursday, 27 July at 10am.
2023/24 members with 5+ Away Priority Points – Friday, 28 July at 10am.
Season ticket holders – Monday, 31 July at 10am.
General sale – Tuesday, 1 August at 10am
“A little annoyed to be honest. Having bought memberships for the whole family again. I have 17 points, the Mrs 14 and the kids 12 each. Also knowing that at point of purchase meant that if we wanted to go together we would have to wait until the 10+ point Priority window. Now it appears that we have the same Priority over new membership holders. Why have the club skipped 10+?”
Another fans response ….was
“That is actually a valid point!
Those who had memberships and a few away games last season have actually gained no priority over new members this year.
Whilst I agree with the priority system, I'm worried that the gap will just get bigger and bigger between the top priority and bottom if they are always sold out before the bottom point members get the opportunity to get tickets.
Then our membership will be worthless as there aren't any extra perks anymore.
We may never get to go to an away match again!“
I know the owners have put a lot of money in to the Club, but it’s starting to be pay up time for fans to follow the club now isn’t it.
£40 membership + TownTV subscription £71.88 = £111

But you don't have to join the Town TV membership to watch games, that's optional

Re: Sunderland tickets …
No I know…. I’m just listing the various “ deals” currently being offered by the Club. …. And people are signing up to them in the rush to see the team. There’s a definite supply / demand issue going on for Town fans this season.
Season Tickets are sold out. Unprecedented!
You won’t get a ticket on match day at PR very easily now.
Looks like the same thing for away ( despite allocations likely to be higher in some games)
Ifollow has finished for Town fans, so potentially can’t gain access that way either …

I can't see any other scenario but the same fans getting the away tickets all the time and upping their points while nobody else will get the option to do so. The club have massively f*cked up here.

Re: Sunderland tickets …
I do wonder if this is why that commercial manager left recently. There’s a lot about the new so called deals coming out that don’t see particularly “ good”… time will tell I guess.
