Although he's had a decent pre season I don't see him starting at Sunderland, Luongo if fit followed by either Evans or Taylor

What an excellent result and performance, we've stood up to a champions League quality team who played a very strong side, one guy alone worth 90 million ,!! We weren't overawed or outplayed at all so to win 1-0 is quite impressive, yes they are a week behind us in terms of pre season but even so, we actually looked at home in this company.
Take a bow Elkan Baggott who I thought was superb today, do we actually need another CB ? He was the best player for me. Young Hutchinson should have made it 2 right at the death but fluffed a one on one. A very pleasing display.

Thought young Baggott had a good game. Obviously only a friendly but he hardly put a foot wrong. Kept our shape well and overall a good 60 minute workout.

They were 3rd in the Bundesliga last season 5 points off the top, I know it's a friendly but it's very good for confidence.

Nobody has arrived becuase they haven't found the right one yet, left sided center backs are one of the hardest positions to aquire. Interesting to hear Ashton say he expects at least another 2 or 3 more players to come in. These will be players to add quality to the starting 11. When questioned what positions will these be, he said right across the board. This team is very disjointed, no service to the front players, Edmundson all over the place as usual, he ducked under a corner ffs, Edwards looks sharp, we have little presence in the centre of Midfield.
