There's some things you can say, and some things you can't. I'm going to wimp out and pick the latter. f*ck it

Being quick, I always hope Scots qualify and do well in any tournament but no team over time has progressed beyond a First Round. It's absurd when you look at the caliber and involvement of select past names. You could reel off about a dozen or more examples but see this time no need to reiterate.

Think a neutral nation like Germany could suit them well rather than playing venues in the UK. Past competition suggests they do better against the bigger names of world 'football' rather than obscure and unrecognized nations. 1962 was probably their best ever squad but as before they didn't or don't make it beyond group stages.
