Sunderland have just binned off Tony Mowbray

Beginning of the silly season it would appear.

Been very disappointing this season so hardly surprising I guess.

Swansea sacked Michael Duff yesterday too.

Gosh - neither are doing that badly!?

Could be a careful what you wish for scenario, I guess you can see the Sunderland one if you really try - they’d probably have been going for too 2 with the spending in the summer.

Be interesting to see who they get but also where those two managers end up.

Not sure who else Sunderland think they can get who is better than Mogga. Any manager who is unemployed at this stage of the season won't be an improvement surely??

To be honest as much as I like Tony Mowbray I've always thought he's a pretty poor manager.

I know he didn’t do well at Chelsea but Potter?

Can’t think of many others…

I'm not sure exactly what his stats are , but I thought they were actually pretty good when he was at Blackburn (given he had no money to spend of the squad).. He wasn't that bad at SUFC ..they just expected top 6 ...Have they spent a lot of money in the summer by any chance ?

3 points off the play-offs and not even half way through the season!

Makes you wonder if how things are going at PR is clouding some owners judgement! Why are we not in that position/performing that way?

True! I do feel though a lot of owners will see how we are doing and opt down the ‘educated young coach’
Role like we have, rather than the seasoned merry go round of older managers

Looks like Swansea are after Davies, a young coach from Spurs and Sunderland are after Plymouth’s Schumacher - both could be good moves - naturally the Swansea one is higher risk but down the Ipswich route.

Next manager to be sacked, Ten Hag

I’m worried Moyes will be next as I could see them then going after KM? West ham is a fairly big club, so I do think they might be able to tempt him.

I can’t see a top six club going for him, but teams like Brighton, West Ham, villa, those sort of level might.
