Parking

HI all,

Usually I always get to games early, park in the car park next to the statium and have a (soft) drink after the game for 45mins before heading home.

For the Maidstone game I need to leave pronto at the end of the game and I know they close the road by the main car park now, is there a good car park within say 15min walk which might be better place to park and quickly head out to after the match? Doesn't matter on the price.

Thanks

The multi storey by Crown Pools would be ok I should think, no more than 10/15 minutes walk

I usually park at Halfords on Saturdays but you only get 3 hours so you can’t arrive before about 2:30. Only a 5 minute walk.
Alternately if it isn’t raining I park on Cheltenham Avenue or similar, off Henley Road. It’s a good 35 minute walk but by the time you get back the traffic has eased so you get out quickly.

Mostly depends on which direction you need to go after the game. If you want either the A12 towards Colchester or A14 towards Stowmarket I’d park at the Railway Station. I did that for the Leicester City game and was on the A14 within 20 mins of leaving the ground exiting Ipswich via Gippeswyk Ave, Birkfield Drive, Hawthorn Drive, it was a super way out. Far better than the route we took coming into the game.

Saw the thread title……. Thought it was going to be about the Maidstone formation / tactics.
Turns out it’s really about actual parking.
