Fingers crossed. He looks like a very cool finisher. If we can get him to use his size and work his arse off like Hirst, then we'll be on to a winner!

Great read that, let's hope we get him and that he backs the words up.

I decided to delve in to a forum of the club, they seem slightly ambivalent towards his quality and ability to step up. I was kind of hoping to see more of the comments suggesting it's a disaster to lose him and he'll take the Championship by storm etc etc, but they were a lot more measured and tentative than that.
I think he definitely has Championship ability, I just think it's an unbelievable ask to expect that he may be able to produce that this season. Lets see how it all plays out with this and other signings.

That's exactly why I hope he's the back up striker to somebody else, I'd be happy with that scenario

If we do sign him I feel he is one who has been brought in for the future rather than a direct replacement for Hirst this season.
If the rumours are true then it looks like we are continuing our pursuit of Gallagher although I’m definitely not sure about signing him especially if some of the figures being quoted about the fee are correct.

Eadt suggests Gallagher deal hinges on Blackburn getting in a replacement: keep an eye on Swansea deals as Blackburn reportedly after one of their players .

All seems to be bubbling away nicely! Add full-back cover into the pot - M Johnson? - then we’ll have done more than OK, relative to financial and FFP restrictions etc. Let’s get them into the building…….and also see if anyone leaves.

Most likely - when reading their manager’s comments recently. He was also having a whinge that, allegedly, MA had tried to get Johnson on a ‘free’. Well, you cant’t blame a man for trying!

Looking at Mashton, you can 100% believe that.
Wed boss; "Yep, wants away. We have a figure in mind. What you offering?"

I sure hope I’m wrong on Al-Hamadi as I was hoping it was nothing more than speculation as the jump from League 2 to the Championship is huge. I also still have in the back of my mind Paul Hirst in 2018 bringing in top League 2 players and we all know what happened next. Yes Al-Hamadi maybe one for the future, but if we’re really focussed on promotion to the Premier League we need someone who we know can perform at top Championship level now and contribute to that objective and be better than what we already have/had.
