That article underneath my feelings that those in positions of power within the PL want to keep it a closed shop, and maintaing the ridiculous parachute payments is a sure fire way of achieving just that, because it is totally unfair and it distorts the championship. Its no coincidence that the relegated PL sides have been in that top 3-4 slots all season.
